Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Bucks Reportedly Agree to Contract amid Giannis Trade Rumors
Giannis Antetokounmpo reportedly won't be the only member of his family on the Milwaukee Bucks next season.
ESPN's Shams Charania reported Sunday that Thanasis Antetokounmpo signed a guaranteed one-year, $2.9 million deal with the Bucks, which marks his return to the organization he played for from 2019-24.
Antetokounmpo seemed to confirm the news:

Notably, Charania pointed out, "this also means after a summer of exploring options, Giannis is staying in Milwaukee to start the season."
Giannis Antetokounmpo's future has been a major talking point throughout the offseason, and Charania said earlier this month "there's nothing set in stone" about where he will start the 2025-26 season:
Yet The Athletic's James L. Edwards III reported most around the league are "fairly confident" the two-time MVP would still be with Milwaukee to start the upcoming campaign.
That report was notable since the team seemed to have quite the response to Charania:
Antetokounmpo himself even said in July he would "probably" remain with the Bucks, adding "I love Milwaukee."
Having his brother back will only help the team's case to keep the nine-time All-Star this season and beyond.
Thanasis Antetokounmpo appeared in 196 games for the Bucks across his previous five seasons but was never a major contributor. He averaged 2.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists during those five seasons as a role player who was most notable as the brother of the team's most important player.
Yet he wasn't with the team in 2024-25 as he recovered from a torn Achilles.
Now that he is healthy and ready to return to the NBA, it comes as no surprise he will once again be with his brother on the Bucks.
