Chris Paul Rips Clippers For Exit in Video, 'One of The Most Disrespectful Things That I've Endured'

Chris Paul is one of the most notable players in Los Angeles Clippers history, but he wasn't exactly treated like a franchise icon during the 2025-26 season.

The Clippers sent Paul home in December, ending his time with the team and his NBA career, as he went unsigned for the remainder of the season. Paul called his exit from the team "one of the most disrespectful things that I've endured."

"What's interesting about that whole situation is, it's probably one of the most disrespectful things that I've endured," Paul said. "I've been through a lot of wild stuff in my career, and having older kids and a wife who's very tapped in, and they know the daily goings-on as far as that team and that organization. Obviously I was upset, but my family, my people, everybody... I think just because of the investment we made in the team for as long as we have, and to see the way stuff was handled. What it lets you know is that no matter what you do or what you've done, nobody cares."

Paul returned to the Clippers ahead of the 2025-26 campaign and hoped to get a retirement tour from the franchise where he had his best years, but things quickly went south.

Paul reportedly butted heads with the coaching staff and front office, and it ultimately led to his exit.

The legendary point guard didn't get the send-off he probably deserved, but he'll at least get a warm welcome into the Hall of Fame when the time comes.
