The Coleman family released an official statement on Monday that the 61-year-old had been admitted to the hospital.
Coleman himself made a post earlier that day revealing unfortunate news that he wouldn't be making a previously planned trip to the United Kingdom because of a medical emergency.
"I’m in great hands, getting the best care, and I’m staying strong through it all. I’ll be back and better than ever, and I can’t wait to get out there and see you all real soon!
Thanks for all the love and support and as always this ain’t nothin but a peanut," Coleman said in part.
Coleman won his eight Mr. Olympia titles over eight straight years (1998-2005). He and Lee Haney co-hold the all-time record for most Mr. Olympia titles all time. He's also won 26 IFBB professional titles as well.
