Jade Cargill Beats Asuka to Win WWE Queen of the Ring, SummerSlam Title Match
Jade Cargill beat Asuka in the Queen of the Ring finals at Night of Champions on Saturday to earn a women's title match at SummerSlam in August.
Cargill absorbed a great deal of punishment throughout the match, but she persevered and hit Asuka with her Jaded finisher to secure the crown.

Ranking The New Day's Best WWE Moments
This year marked the third Queen of the Ring tournament in WWE history, following Zelina Vega's win in 2021 and Nia Jax's win last year, and the field was stacked from top to bottom.
In order to reach the finals, Cargill had to win a Fatal 4-Way against Jax, Michin and Piper Niven in the first round, followed by taking down Roxanne Perez in the semifinals.
After missing over a year due to injury, Asuka returned earlier this month on Raw as part of the tourney. She won a Fatal 4-Way over Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez and Ivy Nile in the first round, and then defeated Alexa Bliss in the semis.
Saturday's match was an intriguing one since it featured two Superstars at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of their accomplishments in WWE.
Cargill has made a massive impact since departing AEW and signing with WWE in September 2023, but she has yet to win a singles title and the only gold on her résumé is holding the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships twice with Bianca Belair.
As for Asuka, she is one of the most decorated women's Superstars in WWE history with nine title reigns to her credit, as well as women's Royal Rumble and women's Money in the Bank ladder match triumphs.
The Empress of Tomorrow was perhaps the most dominant NXT women's champion of all time, and she went on to hold the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships four times, the Raw Women's Championship three times and the SmackDown Women's Championship once.
Asuka had a chance to add to her impressive list of accolades Saturday, but Cargill wanted to take a huge step forward in her career by beating one of the all-time greats.
Jade did precisely that at Night of Champions, allowing her to challenge for either the WWE Women's Championship or Women's World Championship at SummerSlam.
