Ranking the 5 Most Likely Men's WWE Money in the Bank 2026 Winners

Sunday Night's Main Event is the next big show for WWE on September 6, but the next official premium live event is Money in the Bank on October 10.

The MITB event is usually one of the more anticipated PLEs on the calendar because the outcome isn't always as predictable as the average match. Plus, who doesn't love a good fight with ladders?

There are a lot of potential names who could end up in this year's men's Money in the Bank bout, but only a handful seem like possible winners.

Let's take a look at some of the most likely names to walk out of New Orleans with the briefcase.

5. Royce Keys

Royce Keys has had slightly inconsistent booking lately, but it's clear WWE management sees him as a potential top star.

He might be new to the company, but the 17-year veteran is by no means a rookie, so it would make perfect sense for him to end up in this match.

The only thing that kept us from placing him higher on the list is the fact that he has not won a title in WWE yet, and it might be best to give him a run with the United States or Intercontinental Championship to see how he does.

Keys winning would immediately inject some new blood into the main event scene, which WWE sorely needs right now.

4. Finn Balor

Finn Balor has talked a lot about wanting to get back into the hunt for a world title since coming to SmackDown, and this might be his way back into the chase.

Balor was the first-ever universal champion, but an injury during the title match in which he won the belt forced him to relinquish it before he ever got to defend it.

Now that he is free from The Judgment Day and back to his old babyface ways, it would be the perfect time to throw him into the title picture.

His popularity has been consistent, and Balor has always been a reliable performer in the ring, so there would be no downside to giving him the briefcase at this stage in his career.

3. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has been out of action since losing to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42, but if he is ready to come back, this would be the perfect time.

The MITB briefcase would make him even more dangerous than he already is, which is saying a lot because he is one of the most physically imposing members on the WWE roster.

Whether the Scot does it as a heel or babyface doesn't matter because his return would be cheered by fans either way, so WWE has some wiggle room with the kind of story it would tell with him holding the case.

The only downside to this scenario is that McIntyre won the briefcase in 2024, so having him repeat so soon might not be the best option.

2. Trick Williams

Trick Williams is currently involved in a feud with Baron Corbin over the United States Championship, but once that is done, it wouldn't be surprising to see WWE test him out in the main event scene.

It's no secret that WWE sees Trick as a valued member of the roster. He is booked strong, featured regularly and has a celebrity manager. His ascension has been quick but steady.

Putting the MITB briefcase in his hands would not be a bad idea at all. Even if he didn't successfully cash it in, having him circling the world title picture would be a great next step in his career.

If he ends up being booked in the match, we're giving him strong odds to win.

1. Solo Sikoa

Solo Sikoa is definitely going to end up challenging Roman Reigns for the world title at some point, but he would be so much more dangerous with the MITB briefcase.

This would be a slam-dunk decision for WWE. Sikoa has built real momentum with the WWE Universe in recent months, and now is the time to capitalize.

Having him use the briefcase to defeat Reigns would also protect The Tribal Chief's character, which is something WWE seems intent on doing.

A few months of Sikoa parading around with the briefcase and taunting his cousin with it before finally cashing it in would be highly entertaining television.

Wild-Card Pick: Danhausen

Do we actually think Danhausen will win the Money in the Bank match? No, but there is an argument for why it would be great.

The beauty of his character is he is not driven by the same motivations as every other pro wrestler. Titles don't seem to be his top priority, so there is an easy comedic avenue to take.

Imagine Danhausen wins the case and then opens it to find a contract when he was expecting human monies. He would be the first person in WWE history to be mad about winning, but he could take advantage of the situation.

Having him attempt to auction the case off to the highest bidder would make for some hilarious segments, especially if someone unexpected ends up getting the case in the end.

Or, Danhausen could place a curse on the case so that whoever tried to cash it in fails miserably. There are multiple options for how to make this work.

This might not be the kind of decision every fan would enjoy, but if you like Danhausen, you would probably enjoy him running around with the briefcase for a while.
