Arizona 4, North Carolina 3

Ho hum, just another upset in college baseball.

Arizona became the second team to book its ticket to Omaha, joining Coastal Carolina, after defeating No. 5 North Carolina 4-3 on Sunday. It was the Wildcats' second straight win over the Tar Heels after dropping the first game of the series by a whopping 18-2 margin.

Arizona' starting pitcher, Smith Bailey, gave up three runs on five hits in six innings, walking three and striking out five, while the bullpen didn't give up a hit and allowed only two baserunners in relief.

Garen Caulfield opened the scoring for Arizona in the top of the second, blasting a solo homer.

Jackson Van De Brake answered in the bottom of the third, pushing across all three Tar Heels' runs on the day with his homer to left field.

But Mason White provided the pivotal moment in the top of the eighth, as his two-run single put the Wildcats ahead for good.

That spoiled a fantastic performance from North Carolina starter Ryan Lynch, who gave up just three runs in seven innings on three hits and a walk (five strikeouts).

Louisville 3, Miami 2

Timely hitting and a fantastic bullpen performance have booked Louisville's place in the College World Series.

The Cardinals defeated Miami 3-2 on Sunday, as Louisville fought back from an early two-run deficit, bolstered by a bullpen that authored four shutout innings to close the door.

Miami took the lead in the top of the third on Max Galvin's two-run dinger:

But Louisville fought back in the forth on Zion Rose's RBI double and Bayram Hot's fielder's choice:

Eddie King Jr. then gave the Cardinals the lead on a blooper to center field in the bottom of the seventh:

And the team held that lead behind some fantastic defense and pitching.

After two games of offensive-heavy ball to open the series, this one came down to a pitching duel, and Louisville starter Ethan Eberle (two runs, six hits, three strikeouts) and three relievers bested the Hurricanes.

Murray State 19, Duke 9

Murray State brought the bats on Sunday.

The Racers absolutely hammered Duke on Sunday, 19-9, keeping their College World Series hopes alive.

The Racers had 17 hits, four homers and walked four times. They posted a five-run fourth and blew the game wide open in the bottom of the seventh, pushing across nine runs.

For the second straight game, Duke's offense was potent (the Blue Devils scored seven runs in a Game 1 win). This time around, however, Murray State's own offense put this one well out of reach.

The decisive Game 3 will be played on Monday. Expect fireworks.

UCLA 7, UTSA 0

UCLA advanced to Omaha next, defeating UTSA with a strong pitching performance.

After three scoreless innings, the Bruins recorded their first run of the game with an RBI single from Toussaint Bythewood. They went up 2-0 with another single by Roch Cholowsky in the top of the fifth.

UTSA only trailed by two runs through seven innings, but UCLA gained some more separation by scoring five runs over the final two frames.

The Bruins used five pitchers during the contest. All of them performed admirably, as they combined to record nine strikeouts compared to just four hits and two walks during the shutout win.

Arkansas 11, Tennessee 4

The reigning champions were eliminated.

The Volunteers, who won the 2024 College World Series, had their hopes of another championship extinguished on Sunday with a lopsided defeat against Arkansas.

The Razorbacks' offensive outburst was highlighted by a grand slam from outfielder Logan Maxwell that extended their lead to 7-1 in the top of the fourth inning.

He was far from the only contributor for Arkansas at the plate, though. Six different Razorbacks finished Sunday's game with at least one RBI.

Arkansas added three more runs in the seventh inning with a run-scoring single from Kuhio Aloy to go along with a pair of bases-loaded walks.

A late comeback attempt from Tennessee fell short, as the Razorbacks moved on.

LSU 12, West Virginia 5

After failing to make it to Omaha last year, LSU wasn't going to let another opportunity slip away on Sunday against West Virginia. The Tigers scored six unanswered runs over the first two innings and never looked back as they earned a 12-5 win.

The Mountaineers used the long ball to cut the deficit to two, but the Tigers posted six runs in the seventh inning to put the game out of reach. Jake Brown capped the inning with a two-run home run to deep center:

Anthony Eyanson pitched five strong innings for LSU with three earned runs and seven strikeouts. Chase Shores shut the door to sent the Tigers to the College World Series.

After winning the CWS title in 2023, LSU surely will be motivated to return to the pinnacle once again this year.

Oregon State 14, Florida State 10

Oregon State and Florida State put on an incredible display of power with a total of eight home runs between them, and in the end, the Beavers walked away with a 14-10 victory to reach the College World Series for the first time since 2018, which was the year of their last title.

A grand slam by Trent Caraway in the third inning blew the game open and gave Oregon State an 11-3 lead. Gavin Turley followed in the same inning with a two-run blast.

The Seminoles did their best to claw their way back into the game, but the Beavers' lead was just too large to overcome.

Oregon State will surely be hoping to keep the fireworks going when it chases another CWS title.
