WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights

Chris MuellerJun 7, 2025

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE Money in the Bank 2025.

The annual event is a favorite among fans because the two Ladder matches always produce tons of memorable moments while setting two people up for potential world title runs.

This year's show only has four matches scheduled. Here's a look at the card:

—Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. John Cena and Logan Paul
—Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch (Intercontinental Championship)
—Seth Rollins vs. LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Andrade vs. Penta vs. El Grande Americano (Men's MITB)
—Alexa Bliss vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Giulia vs. Naomi vs. Roxanne Perez (Women's MITB)

Let's take a look at everything that happened at this year's MITB PLE.

Women's Money in the Bank

1 of 6
SmackDown

Bliss was the first competitor to head to the ring for the women's MITB match to kick off the event. Ripley was the final entrant before the bell.

The announcers made a big deal about most of the competitors having no MITB experience before this event, but in fairness, three of them have only been on the main roster for a few months.

Even though it was every woman for herself, we still saw a standoff between the three heels and three babyfaces to get the fighting started. It didn't take long for those alliances to fall apart though.

It took several minutes for anyone to successfully stand up a ladder to climb, which helped make it feel a lot more competitive once it finally happened.

This was a very physical match that put all six women through the wringer. Nobody escaped without being part of at least one dangerous spot, but almost all of them went off without a hitch.

The crowd was going wild for everything and chanted "This is awesome" more than once. We eventually ended up with three ladders set up as a bridge from corner to corner that resulted in dual Code Reds from Bliss and Perez to Naomi and Vaquer.

After taking down Ripley and Bliss at the same time, Naomi climbed the ladder and retrieved the briefcase to win the match. This was fantastic from start to finish .

Result: Naomi won MITB

Grade: A

Notable Moments and Observations

—The lighting in the arena really helped make the entrances feel different.
—Vaquer was the only competitor in this bout who wrestled at Worlds Collide and MITB. She also competed on SmackDown, so this was her third match in under 24 hours.
—Ripley using Bliss as a weapon was funny.
—The way Ripley sold the facebuster into a ladder was awesome.
—Perez had a nice sequence with Ripley that ended with a moonsault onto the ladder.
—Giulia and Perez tried to slam a ladder onto Ripley but it just ended up hitting the top rope instead.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Octagón Jr. (Men's Intercontinental Championship)

2 of 6
Worlds Collide

A late addition to the card saw Dominik Mysterio put the men's IC title on the line against the man he got into a fight with at Worlds Collide earlier in the day, Octagón Jr.

Octagón took control early and hit a springboard moonsault to ground Dom at ringside. Liv Morgan watched as Daddy Dom seemed to be in over his head right out of the gate.

Dom managed to use his slight size advantage to take over, but the luchador kept himself in the fight. Dom eventually hit a 619 followed by a Frog Splash to get the win in a short but competitive match.

Result: Mysterio defeated Octagón

Grade: B-

Notable Moments and Observations

—Dom has been getting cheered more and more lately. It feels like WWE is going to have to turn him face or give him something to do that gets him a lot of heat.
—Octagón landed on his side instead of his stomach when he hit a corkscrew splash from the apron. It looked painful for Dom.
—Mr. Iguana got a big pop when he was shown in the crowd.

Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch (Women's Intercontinental Championship)

3 of 6
Monday Night RAW

After we saw the men's IC title defended, it was time for the women's IC belt to be featured when Lynch challenged Valkyria for the second time.

The Man immediately took control and sent the champ out of the ring. She was dominant and did not let up on her former friend, but Valkyria eventually began to show some life.

The match got more competitive as it progressed and Valkyria was able to get in more offense, but Big Time Becks still seemed to have the upper hand more often.

The crowd broke into dueling chants as they started getting closer to the finish. Both women were looking strong, but the champ was beginning to put up more of a fight and make The Man rethink her strategy.

On a show with two Ladder matches, they managed to make sure they were not overlooked.

Lynch wasn't able to win with a Super Manhandle Slam, so she resorted to cheating by grabbing a handful of tights when she had Valkyria down for a pin.

Becky played up being a heel by making Valkyria raise her hand and strap the title to her, but Lyra hit her with a German suplex and a Nightwing to shut her up.

Result: Lynch defeated Valkyria to win the IC title

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

—If WWE wants the Bird Lady nickname to go away, they should stop giving Valkyria wings to wear to the ring.
—Lynch was sporting a different style of gear than usual.
—It's easy to forget how strong Valkyria is because of her small stature, but she was having no problem throwing Lynch around.
—Valkyria had a big welt forming on her back by the end of the match.

Men's Money in the Bank

4 of 6
SmackDown

Rollins was the first man out for the men's MITB match. Knight was the last man to make his entrance before the match got started. Everyone surrounded Rollins and tossed him out of the ring right away.

Sikoa tried to play friendly with Andrade, Penta and Knight but was quickly taken out. Americano suffered the same fate when Knight dropkicked a ladder into his face.

Much like the women's bout earlier in the night, this immediately turned into a hard-hitting fight with a lot of risks being taken by various competitors.

The crowd chanted for tables as more ladders started coming into play. It didn't take them long before people starting climbing ladders in an attempt to win. All six guys ended up on ladders together at one point, but everyone eventually crashed and burned.

This match had a lot of high-risk moments, which is to be expected with this stipulation, but that didn't make it any less impressive when they pulled off the big spots.

Americano made a climb from the floor all the way up three ladders to almost win, but Knight took him down and ruined his chances of winning. Rollins eventually called for Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to come out and help him.

Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo showed up to help out Solo a few moments later. However, Fatu stopped Sikoa from climbing the ladder and said he hated him before taking Solo out with a superkick followed by a moonsault.

This match was overbooked but in a way that helps a bout like this be more entertaining. For once, interference actually added to the story instead of feeling like a crutch to keep a feud going.

After preventing Knight from winning, Rollins climbed up and retrieved the briefcase to claim victory.

Result: Rollins won MITB

Grade: A-

Notable Moments and Observations

—The crowd booed Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker when they were shown in the crowd.
—The entrance for Americano was creative even if this gimmick is bad.
—McAfee and Barrett trying to pretend like Americano is not Gable is as funny as it is dumb.
—Only one ladder was sponsored and it had the Fireball logo.
—Andrade's sunset flip bomb from the ladder almost ended badly due to how he landed on his knee.
—Props to Rollins for helping the ladder with Americano on it keep its balance.
—Even with all of the ladder spots, the most impressive thing might have been Fatu hitting a popup Samoan drop to Reed.

John Cena and Logan Paul vs. Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes

5 of 6
SmackDown

The final match of the night was the big tag match with Cena and Paul taking on Rhodes and Uso.

After what felt like way too long for everyone to make their entrance, Rhodes and Cena were the first two to lock up. Cena quickly tagged out to Paul after the first takedown from Rhodes, which seemed uncharacteristic even for this heel version.

The first half of the match was slow and methodical. The crowd seemed to be having a good time, but it felt like the competitors were intentionally holding back so they could amp things up later.

The heels had the upper hand for most of the match while Uso took the most damage. Eventually, Cena and Paul started having issues. As they argued, Jey made the hot tag to a fresh Cody.

Paul hit a splash on Cena by accident when Rhodes avoided the impact, but nobody was able to capitalize on it. All four men were down in the ring at once.

Paul hit a moonsault that put Uso through the announce table, but he took himself out in the process, leaving Cena and Rhodes alone in the ring. The ref was distracted when Cena used his title as a weapon.

Someone dressed in black attacked Cena and took him out, only to reveal himself to be R-Truth. The crowd went wild for him and Rhodes hit his finisher to get the pin and the win.

This bout started off pretty slow but it picked up in the back half and ended up being better than expected, especially with the cameo at the end.

Result: Rhodes and Uso defeated Cena and Paul

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

—Some of the drone shots WWE used looked way better than others. The quality of the cameras varies wildly.
—Cody did the Stardust cartwheel and got a little pop.
—Cena and Paul were arguing after tagging themselves in and out a few times.
—Rhodes hitting a superplex to Paul as he held a drone was a cool shot.

The Final Word

6 of 6
SmackDown

Saturday's Money in the Bank PLE ended up delivering some fun action and a few surprises along the way, but the thing everyone is going to be talking about is the return of R-Truth.

Whether this was the plan all along or a response to fans being upset that he was released remains to be seen, but his appearance got the biggest pop of the night.

As for the matches, the two MITB bouts stole the show like usual. The men's match had a lot of memorable moments, but the women outshined them bell-to-bell.

Naomi and Rollins were the two most logical winners and the stories they told in their matches helped make their wins feel justified, even if The Visionary had to rely on some outside help.

All in all, this was an entertaining few hours of WWE action after Worlds Collide earlier in the day.

Grade: B+
