Ranking Every WWE Star's Chances of Winning Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Graham GSM MatthewsJun 4, 2025

The fields for the 2025 men's and women's Money in the Bank ladder matches are officially set as of Monday’s Raw, and the outcomes are far from predictable.

Over the last two decades, the opportunistic briefcase has been used as either a vehicle to elevate talent and a prop to further stories—both successfully and unsuccessfully. Ideally, it should be won by someone on the rise ready for the next level, but there have been a number of occasions when it's been wasted.

There's no telling what Triple H has in store for the two contracts this year, especially following the recent WrestleVotes report that he is no fan of the concept.

Drew McIntyre, a multi-time world champ in his own right, cashed in the briefcase the same night he won it last year against Damian Priest and came up short. Meanwhile, Tiffany Stratton went on to hold hers for nearly six months and captured the WWE Women's Championship, so the results remain mixed.

Thankfully, the men's and women's MITB matches this Saturday in Los Angeles are stacked with star power, with some having better odds of emerging victorious with the coveted contract than others.

Here are the updated power rankings for every competitor currently slated to compete in the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder matches.

6. Andrade and Roxanne Perez

Andrade shocked the wrestling world when he qualified for the men's Money in the Bank ladder match by besting Jacob Fatu and Carmelo Hayes in a Triple Threat on the May 30 edition of SmackDown.

It's not the first time he's taken part in the bout, especially after the stellar performance he had in last year's installment that set the stage for his feud with Hayes in the months that followed.

El Idolo has shined consistently whenever he's been involved, but his odds of winning have never been high.

Andrade has always been utilized at a midcard level and that likely won't be changing during his second stint with WWE.

Although Roxanne Perez has a significantly higher ceiling at this stage of her career, she only just arrived on Raw and doesn't need to be rushed into world title contention. There'd be nothing wrong with it whatsoever given her immense amount of talent, but she's already occupied in another storyline with The Judgment Day.

That should keep her busy for the foreseeable future, and once that runs its course, she can then set her sights on the Women's World Championship without the MITB contract.

5. Solo Sikoa and Giulia

SmackDown

Solo Sikoa was the first man to punch his ticket to Money in the Bank with a win over Rey Fenix and Jimmy Uso last month, but he's not an odds-on favorite by any means. In fact, he should be considered the least appealing pick of everyone involved.

The former Bloodline member had his fair share of shots at the Undisputed WWE Championship in 2024, losing to Cody Rhodes on back-to-back occasions. He has since slid down the card a bit but remains relevant thanks to the tension he's been teasing with Jacob Fatu.

Sikoa and Fatu are obviously headed for a feud, potentially over the United States Championship, but the opportunistic briefcase doesn't need to be at play in that program.

Similar to Roxanne Perez, Giulia is another newcomer to the main roster and could clinch championship gold at any time. She showed just how talented she is during her short stint in NXT and will be WWE women's champion in due time.

However, in pinning Zelina Vega to qualify for the match, the Women's United States Championship scene looks to be where she'll be slotted for the time being, ruling out a MITB victory at this juncture.

4. Penta and Alexa Bliss

Penta wasted no time in getting over with the WWE audience upon making his Raw debut at the onset of 2025 and continues to be a hot commodity on Monday nights.

After unsuccessfully challenging for the Intercontinental Championship on four separate occasions by this point, it's worth wondering what his immediate future looks like.

That title is clearly out of Penta's grasp as long as it's in the possession of Dominik Mysterio, and there's been no sign WWE intends to have him enter the main event scene soon.

Becoming Mr. Money in the Bank would be a pleasant surprise, but it's still a slight long shot.

Alexa Bliss, on the other hand, is a former Money in the Bank winner, but she hasn't held singles gold in a number of years.

Regaining the contract would put her in prime position once more on SmackDown, but there doesn't seem to be a spot that makes sense for her at the moment in the WWE Women's Championship picture.

Rather, there's more for Bliss to explore by attempting to align herself with Charlotte Flair, whether it be a full-fledged tag team or an eventual falling out and subsequent rivalry.

3. El Grande Americano and Stephanie Vaquer

Monday Night RAW

Yes, El Grande Americano is indeed Money in the Bank-bound following his impressive victory over AJ Styles and CM Punk on Monday's Raw. He's an unexpected addition to the field, but he can't be completely counted out.

WWE has been aggressively pushing Chad Gable's alter ego since before WrestleMania 41, so it's plausible it will want him to secure the contract and cash in on a midcard championship, possibly even the AAA Mega Championship that Gable himself will be vying for earlier in the day at Worlds Collide.

It would be a ridiculous result, but not as far-fetched as some may think.

Stephanie Vaquer would be a significantly stronger candidate if she were to win the women's match.

Within a week, she lost the NXT Women's Championship and got signed to the Raw roster, but between her above-average in-ring ability and awe-inspiring aura, her ceiling is limitless.

If WWE wants to make a new star right out of the gate, they won't hesitate to have La Primera climb the ladder, retrieve the briefcase and cash in to become champ in short order.

2. LA Knight and Naomi

5 of 6
SmackDown

The popular picks to win Money in the Bank for the men and the women this year aren't the ones WWE is guaranteed to go with, but they would be the most satisfying.

It should be third time's the charm for LA Knight, who failed in the ladder match in both 2023 and 2024.

For him to lose this year as well would be crushing for fans who have long been ready to see The Megastar take his rightful place among the elite at the top of the card, not to mention there's no logical next step for him going forward if he isn't Mr. Money in the Bank.

Knight should join the likes of Edge, Seth Rollins and Damian Priest in capturing the contract and winning his first world title because of it. The briefcase would suit him to a tee.

Naomi has been to the mountaintop of WWE before, but she's currently doing the greatest work of her entire career as a heel. She deserves to be rewarded with a run as Ms. Money in the Bank and then WWE women's champion.

The potential programs with Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair over the belt make her the most compelling choice of the six.

1. Seth Rollins and Rhea Ripley

6 of 6

From a pure storyline standpoint, Seth Rollins and Rhea Ripley have the best shot of taking home their respective briefcases this weekend at the Intuit Arena in L.A.

Granted, neither stands to benefit from holding it, but that might be exactly why Triple H is keen on going in that direction.

Rollins used the contract to cement his status as a headliner in 2014 before cashing it in for his first world title at WrestleMania 31. Eleven years later, he'd be using it to reclaim power and give his new group even more credibility.

Rollins vs. Jey Uso can easily happen without the briefcase, but it would put the titleholder more on edge than he already is with The Visionary lurking in the shadows during every championship defense.

As for Ripley, it was all but confirmed weeks ago that she was next in line for a shot at the Women's World Championship after helping current champ Iyo Sky fend off Roxanne Perez and Giulia.

They have unfinished business and thus Money in the Bank would give them an excuse to run it back.

Ripley is overexposed enough that winning the contract won't do her any favors with fans tired of seeing her dominate. But as one of WWE's most over acts, she's a safe option, even if it isn't remotely as interesting as other outcomes the company could book instead.
