Deion Sanders Announces Colorado CFB Sold Out Season Tickets for 3rd-Straight Year

Mike ChiariMay 31, 2025

University of Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders announced Saturday that the Buffaloes sold out their season tickets for the 2025 season.

This marks the third consecutive year that Colorado's football season tickets have sold out, as they also sold out in Sanders' first two seasons as head coach in 2023 and 2024.

Before Sanders' arrival, Colorado football season tickets had not sold out since 1996, which was the final year of a seven-year streak of season ticket sellouts.

Before Coach Prime's arrival, the Buffs had won five or fewer games in six consecutive seasons and played in only one bowl game during that stretch.

After turning things around at FCS Jackson State, Colorado hired Sanders prior to the 2023 season, and he brought some big-time talent with him in the form of his son and quarterback Shedeur Sanders and superstar wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter.

Despite the infusion of talent and excitement, Colorado went only 4-8 in Deion's first season, although that did represent a significant improvement from its 1-11 mark in 2022.

Last season, the Buffaloes took a huge leap forward, going 9-4 and playing in the Alamo Bowl. That marked Colorado's best record since going 10-4 in 2016.

Hunter won the Heisman Trophy, marking the first Colorado player to accomplish that feat since running back Rashaan Salaam in 1994.

Shedeur Sanders was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, and he finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Colorado lost both Hunter and Sanders to the NFL with Hunter going No. 2 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Sanders going to the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round.

Because of that, Coach Prime has a big job on his hands in 2025, although there is plenty of reason for optimism.

Sanders helped Colorado land the No. 24 recruiting class in the nation for 2025, per 247Sports, which suggests an infusion of talent is on the way, giving Colorado the potential to be a contending team in 2025 and beyond.

The Buffaloes' home slate for the 2025 season begins on Aug. 29 against Georgia Tech. Colorado will also host Delaware, Wyoming, BYU, Iowa State, Arizona and Arizona State.
