5-Star DE Richard Wesley Reportedly Decommits from Oregon, Will Visit OSU, Texas
Richard Wesley, a 5-star defensive end in the class of 2026, has decommitted from Oregon, per ESPN's Eli Lederman.
The Ducks are still in consideration but now have competition from Ohio State, Texas, Tennessee and Texas A&M, per Lederman. Wesley is taking official visits to both Oregon and Texas in June before heading to Ohio State on Aug. 30, when the Buckeyes are hosting the Longhorns.
In addition, per Lederman, Tennessee and Texas A&M are "expected to host official visits" for Wesley, a 6'5", 250-pound prospect who plays for Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, California.

Two-and-a-half weeks ago, Wesley celebrated his commitment to Oregon by jumping in a pool alongside Ducks head coach Dan Lanning.
But that celebration turned out to be for a short-lived commitment.
Wesley, who reclassified to the class of 2026 from the class of 2027 last March, had 99 tackles and 19 sacks over his first two Sierra Canyon seasons. He ranks 14th overall and second among edge rushers on the 247Sports Composite list for the class of 2026. ESPN lists him 18th overall and third at his position for his class.
Per Lederman, Wesley made "a string of unofficial visits" before committing to the Ducks. However, a source told Lederman that his recruitment "remained open."
That's certainly the case now as one of the class' top edge-rushers remains available for blue-chip teams to recruit.
