WWE is reportedly discussing a match involving two of the company's biggest women's division Superstars of all time for the upcoming Evolution premium live event.

According to Cory Hays of BodySlam.net, talks have taken place regarding a potential Becky Lynch vs. Bayley match at Evolution.

Prior to WrestleMania 41 last month, Bayley got attacked by a mystery assailant, which forced Lyra Valkyria to find a new partner for her WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

Lynch stepped up, making her first WWE appearance in nearly a year, and teaming with Lyra to win the titles from Liv and Raquel.

However, Morgan and Rodriguez won the titles back in a rematch the next night on Raw, and Becky showed her true colors by attacking Valkyria and later admitting that she was the one who attacked Bayley as well.

Lyra retained the Women's Intercontinental Championship against The Man at Backlash, but they are set for a rematch at Money in the Bank.

Bayley has not been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania, and it is fair to wonder if she may factor into Valkyria vs. Lynch at MITB.

If Bayley lends a helping hand to Lyra and stops Becky from cheating to win the title, it would be the perfect setup for Bayley vs. Becky at Evolution, or perhaps even a Triple Threat for the Women's Intercontinental Championship that involves Valkyria as well.

Given that Becky faced Charlotte Flair at the first Evolution, it would be fitting for her to take on another member of the Four Horsewomen in Bayley at Evolution II.

Return Timeline for Asuka Reportedly Still Uncertain

Asuka has been on the shelf for over a year due to a knee injury, and it reportedly still isn't clear when she will be back in the fold for WWE.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), WWE had creative discussions focused on Asuka earlier this year, but it was always thought that she wouldn't make it back in time for WrestleMania 41 since she wasn't close to being cleared at that time.

Now that WrestleMania has come and gone, there is still a great deal of uncertainty regarding Asuka's status and when she will be back on WWE programming, per Fightful.

Asuka's Kabuki Warriors tag team partner, Kairi Sane, made her return last week after missing several months with an arm injury.

While Sane lost her first match back, which was a Money in the Bank qualifier against Rhea Ripley and Zoey Stark, she got back in the win column this week against Liv Morgan.

Sane had a backstage encounter with the women's tag team champions in Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, and she was backed by women's world champion Iyo Sky.

However, since Sky has bigger things to focus on, there could be room for someone else to step up and help Kairi challenge for the women's tag team titles.

Making that happen at Evolution would make plenty of sense, particularly if Asuka is cleared to return and team with Sane by then.

There isn't yet any indication regarding when the Empress of Tomorrow will be back, but Evolution could be a realistic target, as WWE would undoubtedly love to have the four-time women's champion and four-time women's tag team champion back in the fold for such a significant event.

Reported Backstage Reaction to Ventura's SNME Commentary

Jesse "The Body" Ventura went on a viral rant during Saturday Night's Main Event this past weekend, but it reportedly didn't bother anyone who was working backstage during the event.

Damian Priest defeated Drew McIntyre in a highly physical steel cage match by hitting McIntyre with a con-chair-to and then walking out the door and touching the floor.

While that is a perfectly valid way to win a cage match, Ventura took exception to it, suggesting that Priest took the easy way out and should have at least climbed out of the cage if he was going to escape.

Play-by-play man Michael Cole tried to interrupt Ventura a couple of times to explain that Priest did nothing wrong, but it didn't stop The Body from expressing his strong opinion.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Cultaholic.com's Lewis Howse), there were "lots of laughs" from those backstage at Saturday Night's Main Event during Ventura's diatribe against Priest.

Ventura, who is a WWE Hall of Famer, has had an up-and-down relationship with the company over the years, but the two sides reconciled in recent months.

As part of that reconciliation, Ventura was made a key part of WWE's revival of Saturday Night's Main Event. While he primarily provides comments in between matches with Joe Tessitore, WWE has also had him on commentary for one match per show at SNME.

He was chosen to help call the McIntyre vs. Priest match on Saturday, and as was the case during his days as a full time WWE commentator in the 1980s and into the early 1990s, Ventura didn't pull any punches.
