New Format
The ACC introduced a new format for this year’s championship, shifting to a single-elimination style tournament across six days from May 20 to the 25 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina.
Under the new single-elimination format, the top four seeds receive a double-bye to the quarterfinals on Thursday and Friday. Seeds 5–8 get a bye to Wednesday’s second round, while seeds 9–16 open in Tuesday’s first round. The tournament runs with four games Tuesday and Wednesday, two quarter finals each on Thursday and Friday, semifinals Saturday and the title game Sunday.
The new format reflects the strength of ACC Baseball, which sent eight teams to the NCAA Tournament in 2024 and tied an NCAA record with four College World Series participants. It also aims to create a better postseason experience, with support from coaches and players.
