Charlie Woods, the son of golf legend Tiger Woods, missed the cut to advance in qualifying for the 2025 U.S. Open.
Woods shot three-over 75 at Wellington National Golf Club, seven shots behind the cut line. The top five finishers from the 84-player field moved on.
The U.S. Open qualifying procedure is two parts. 110 sites host a local 18-hole event, and those who move on compete at one of 13 sites that stage a 36-hole tournament.

Woods had one birdie but two bogeys and a double bogey this week at Wellington. That's at least a better showing than his 2024 U.S. Open qualifying bid, when he shot nine over at The Legacy Golf & Tennis Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Arth Sinha, Matthew Marigliano, Tyler Stachkunas, Michael Gligic and Carson Klawonn claimed the five spots up for grabs. Giuseppe Puebla and Austin Lemieux are the two alternates.
Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas hosts one of the final qualifying tournaments on May 19. The remainder of the U.S.-based contests tee off June 2.
The U.S. Open will get underway June 12 at Oakmont Country Club near Pittsburgh. Bryson DeChambeau enters as the reigning champion.
