Danny Shelton to Browns: Twitter Reacts as NT Is Selected in 2015 NFL Draft
The Cleveland Browns shored up their NFL-worst rushing defense on Thursday, selecting Washington defensive tackle Danny Shelton with the 12th overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
Shelton figures to be a true nose tackle for the Browns and serve as a run-stopper to bolster Cleveland's defensive line rotation.
Perhaps most notable about Shelton's waltz to the podium was how he picked up NFL commissioner Roger Goodell off the ground, which Bleacher Report's Dan Levy and NFL.com's Michael Fabiano reacted to:

In terms of how others felt Shelton would fit with the Browns, opinions were rather favorable. Washington coach Chris Pedersen reached out after Cleveland made its choice:
Browns cornerback Joe Haden is certainly excited to welcome Shelton to the fold:
"Welcome big boy!!! Let's work Danny Shelton! Run stopper!!

Pro Football Focus' Steve Palazzolo believes Shelton can be an interior pass-rushing force in Cleveland as well:
That bodes well for the Browns in light of the following tidbit from ESPN Stats & Info:
ClevelandBrowns.com's Kevin Jones recorded what Shelton had to say after learning of his new destination, adding what general manager Ray Farmer said about Shelton's role:
Even though Shelton tipped the scales at 339 pounds during the NFL Scouting Combine, all indications are he is a complete player with enough athleticism to excel against both dimensions of the opposing offense.
Shelton is explosive off the ball and has rare lateral quickness for a young man of his size. Defensive-minded Browns head coach Mike Pettine has to be thrilled to land someone like Shelton on draft day.
The Browns used their No. 19 overall pick on Florida State offensive lineman Cameron Erving, clearly seeking to build the team in the trenches. Many will believe Farmer did well on his first two 2015 choices after a couple of dicey selections in Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel to start his maiden draft last year.
