2015 New York Jets Schedule: Full Listing of Dates, Times and TV Info
Although the New York Jets have a new head coach in Todd Bowles taking over for Rex Ryan, they will still be a team steeped in a defensive identity.
This should be an attack-mode team that needs a bit of spunk to compete in the AFC East, a division where Ryan now coaches in Buffalo and where the New England Patriots reign supreme as defending Super Bowl champions.
Now the Jets' schedule has been released through NFL.com. Opponents were already known, but it's a bit easier to determine how New York's season might shake out now that the specific order has been established.

Analysis
An aggressive offseason by first-year general manager Mike Maccagnan has resulted in a roster shakeup, highlighted by the homecoming of superstar cornerback Darrelle Revis.
The secondary has been a focal point for the Jets, featuring the additions of Revis, Buster Skrine and Antonio Cromartie in free agency. Cromartie also played in New York during the Ryan era alongside Revis, and Bowles' blitz-heavy schemes require strong coverage on the back end.
What lingers as a concern is the all-important quarterback position. Geno Smith is entering his third season and could still develop into the long-term answer, based on his improved form at the end of 2014.
But when New York brought in Ryan Fitzpatrick to reunite with one of his past play-callers in Chan Gailey, it wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement. Maccagnan also holds the sixth overall pick in the upcoming draft, which could be used on a quarterback like Marcus Mariota.
Whoever is throwing most of the Jets' passes in 2015 will take comfort in the fact that Brandon Marshall has arrived. Between Marshall and Eric Decker, there are two huge targets on the outside for the QBs to work with, along with a bruising ball-carrier in Chris Ivory to hand the ball to.
There are some promising pieces in place, but it all hinges on the quality of play under center.
Pivotal Matchups

Traveling to London is quite a curveball to throw at any NFL team, so the fact that the Jets have to travel across the pond to play Miami in Week 4 is a big deal.
In what figures to be a highly competitive division, every game therein will be vital. This is a make-or-break season for the Dolphins, while Bowles needs to start winning sooner rather than later to establish credibility among players and fans.
The Buffalo Bills' own stout defense threatens to pose problems for New York, while Miami now has Ndamukong Suh on its defensive front.
A rather light home schedule outside of the division gives the Jets some winnable games, but their road slate is tough. If it can prove capable of competing against the likes of Indianapolis and Dallas, both of whom could be had thanks to the Jets' stable of cornerbacks, New York can mount some serious momentum.
Young stud defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson has high expectations.
"We strongly feel like we're going to be the top defense in the league -- and top team in the league, not just defense," said Richardson, according to NFL.com's Dan Hanzus. "This is going to be a great season...I strongly feel like this is going to be a great season for us."
Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson comprise arguably the best 3-4 defensive end duo in the NFL. With a much improved cornerback corps to help, it's easy to see how Richardson could feel so great about where his side of the ball is headed.
And if the adage of defense winning championships is to be paid attention to, New York definitely has a shot at making some noise this year.
With so much uncertainty at quarterback, though, the playoffs are a pipe dream for this Jets bunch. Bowles still has to prove himself at the helm with a far quieter personality than Ryan had, which was by all accounts popular with his players and led to a lot of early on-field results.
Based on New England's perpetual dominance in the division, the desperation in Miami and how retooled the Bills are, a realistic record projection for the Jets falls somewhere around 6-10 or 7-9.
