Faith Broken: WWE Divas in Hot Water With Management
As we all know, the WWE is not known for having wonderful female wrestling. It is more so focused on hot women going out and having mediocre matches in tight clothing and if possible, thong exposure. This is, of course, for the male audience.
The WWE has been improving in terms of getting good-looking women who can actually wrestle, however it is not nearly as good as other promotions' female talent such as TNA.
This really came to a head on RAW this past week in the Gail Kim/Mickie James match. If you saw the end of the match, James hit her kick to the head that she usually does in a match-up.

The problem was that Gail Kim went down when she wasn't supposed to. Kim was actually out of it from a botched cross body a minute or two before.
James picked her up and did a forearm hit to the face to officially end the match after her kick missed completely.
The issue was that James showed her frustration on TV. We all saw it, and I was personally wondering what happened.
I'm guessing she was angry from the missed kick and because Kim fell down when she wasn't supposed to. The WWE chewed her out backstage for showing it on TV, which they called unprofessional. They also were not happy with her abruptly ending the match. However the producers were upset with the finish, not so much Vince or the wrestlers.
While Vince normally produces on RAW, he did not have an issue with the finish, but he was very angry with how she acted on camera in terms of showing frustration.
According the The Wrestling Observer the rumor internally was that the match was going to go on for another few minutes with a DDT for James to win. However, James picked her up and hit her with a forearm to the face to end it early.
Most wrestlers are taught that if a wrestler looks seriously hurt, and/or knocked out, to end the match with some move that could realistically get a pin. She hit her patented kick, and then picked her up for a forearm shot, so to me it was a realistic finish for a female contest.
Kim did receive medical attention after the match and is said to be ok.
There is also heat on SmackDown Diva Michelle McCool and her new finisher the "Faith Breaker". As we all know, this move was first used by AJ Styles, he calls his move the "Styles Clash".
He invented the move, and everyone knows it in TNA. In fact, the WWE has recognized that the move was Styles' innovation themselves.
The heat is on McCool because she never called AJ to ask if she could use it. It is proper etiquette that if you are going to obviously use a move that another wrestler is currently using, especially their finisher that they invented; you are supposed to get their permission which McCool didn't do.
It would be different if they were not active, say if someone wanted to use the Stunner. Steve Austin invented the move, but he is no longer active, so I'm sure if someone wanted to use it they could do it easily.
The Rock Bottom was one of The Rock's finishers, yet Booker T used it as the Book End in WCW before The Rock used it in the WWE. However, he worked on the move to make it his own to make sure it wasn't the exact move.
Ezekiel Jackson does a similar move to The Rock Bottom currently, but he does a different variation of it, which makes it his and not The Rock's. Also, he is retired, so it may not matter if he used the exact move.
Some people are legends in the business and when someone does a move similar to what a legend did, an announcer will call it theirs, such as the "Lou Thesz Press" or the "Harley Race High Knee".
McCool did not ask permission as I mentioned, but it got worse from there. Some people thought that she may have just thought she made it up and started using it. But that was not the case whatsoever.
When approached about it, she said that she saw some guy use it in TNA and liked it, then started using it.
When word got back to wrestlers in TNA and the WWE, she got even more heat for not knowing who AJ Styles was. Can she honestly say she doesn't know who he is? I mean seriously.
Before using a move that has been used before most wrestlers watch it over and over again to make sure they did it right. This means she had to have watched footage on Styles numerous times. If she doesn't know who he is by now, I really feel sorry for her.
Styles has been wrestling longer than she has too, and he has been on TV for some time. He is considered one of the best wrestlers in the world today, and he has even worked in the WWE before!
I really do feel sorry for her if she has no idea who he is; it really shows how much she pays attention. Well, that's a blonde for ya. And yes, because I am a blonde I can make fun of them.
I think she should at least call AJ up and ask if it is okay to use it, even if she has already been using it for months. It is better than never calling, and who knows because Styles has invented the move and is still active, he could have a case in court for it.
Also, because McCool is using the move without Styles' permission it kind of makes the WWE look bad. McCool is known to be negative have an attitude problem backstage with people, but the WWE should really put the hammer down here.
They don't want to give TNA any ammo for storylines to rip into them on TV or anything. They may care less if TNA talks about them on TV, but when credibility of the company is ripped into, they may feel different.
