Seth Curry to Suns: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction
The Phoenix Suns announced Wednesday they signed guard Seth Curry to a 10-day contract after he previously spent time with the organization's summer-league team last year.
Craig Grialou of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM passed along further information about the deal, including the Duke product's potential role:
Curry, the brother of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, has two career NBA games under his belt since going undrafted in 2013. He played one game each with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2013-14 campaign.
More recently, he's been putting up big numbers in the NBA D-League with the Erie BayHawks. He was averaging better than 23 points while shooting 48 percent from the field in 36 games. He also provided some production in the rebound and assist columns.
The Suns are in need of depth at the point as Brandon Knight deals with an ankle injury. That means Curry could actually see some legitimate playing time, especially if he's able to carry over some of his D-League success once he hits the floor.
He's been waiting for another NBA opportunity. Now, he must do his best to take advantage of it.
