Tottenham's Harry Kane Explains Viral Picture of Him in an Arsenal Shirt Aged 8
Harry Kane has become a hero at Tottenham thanks to his goalscoring exploits this season and on Monday was rewarded with a new five-and-a-half-year contract, according to the club's official Twitter (h/t Bleacher Report's Joseph Zucker).
After signing the new deal, he spoke with Spurs TV and decided to clear up the issue of a photograph of him as an eight-year-old that went viral earlier this year.

Fans of Tottenham's great rivals Arsenal took great delight in sharing the image of the young Kane wearing the Gunners kit.
It turns out Kane spent a season in Arsenal's academy, but he insists he has never been a supporter of the red half of North London.
According to Chris Wright of Who Ate All the Pies:
"I wanted to wear a Tottenham kit but I don’t think that would’ve gone down [too] well.
I was eight years-old. I was at Arsenal for a year and obviously I was a kid, I just wanted to play football.
I’ve been at Spurs since I was 11 years-old, always loved the club.
I’ve been here 10 years and hopefully many more years to come.
"
He's one of their own...well, at least until Real Madrid come calling.
