Wizards Trade For Sessions
Thursday, Feb. 19
Sessions has been traded to the Wizards while Andre Miller heads to the Sacramento Kings, confirms the team's website. Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld talked about the move:
"Ramon is a proven veteran who will bring an up-tempo style to our second unit and give us quickness, energy and defensive presence. He can make plays for himself as well as others and will help to solidify our bench as we head into the final 28 games of the season and the playoffs.

Sessions Reportedly Being Shopped
Monday, Jan. 26
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports provided the details on Monday:
The Hornets announced Monday that star point guard Kemba Walker would undergo surgery to address a torn left lateral meniscus. Walker is Charlotte's leading scorer and dished out a team-best average of 5.5 assists thanks to his playmaking ability.
Wojnarowski also provided a timeline for Walker's potential return:
Although he's not quite the caliber of player Walker is, Sessions brings similar skills to the offensive end of the court. He is a combo guard capable of slashing to the rim and is a proficient distributor, who's averaged 2.4 assists for every turnover in his NBA career.
Charlotte was Sessions' NBA home for the 2012-13 NBA campaign, where he appeared in 61 games and averaged 14.4 points off the bench.
If Sessions were to moved into a starting role, perhaps he would be able to somewhat emulate Walker's impact. Per Basketball-Reference.com, Sessions' numbers per 36 minutes include 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists.
Hornets coach Steve Clifford has made defense the point of emphasis since his arrival. His system could compensate for the shortcomings Sessions might have on that end and keep Charlotte's tenuous playoff hopes alive in the weak Eastern Conference.
Regardless of when Walker returns, this possible trade would at least provide the Hornets with valuable backcourt depth, which they need as it is.
