Aaron Rodgers Wins 2014 AP Most Valuable Player Award
Aaron Rodgers couldn't quite lead the Green Bay Packers to the Super Bowl this season. But perhaps it will be some consolation that, for the second time in his career, he's been named the NFL's Most Valuable Player by the Associated Press, per the NFL.
Rodgers finished the season with 4,381 passing yards, 38 touchdowns and a mere five interceptions while completing 65.6 percent of his passes. He led the Packers to a 12-4 record in the NFC, an NFC North divisional crown and a spot in the NFC Championship Game, where they lost to the Seattle Seahawks in heartbreaking fashion in overtime.

That loss is one he said will painfully linger for a long time, per the NFL on Twitter:
The AP MVP award is about the regular season, however, and it's hard to argue with Rodgers earning the honor. And at the age of 31 and with players like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady still going strong at 37 and 38, respectively, one would guess there are quite a few MVP seasons left in Rodgers' tank.
More importantly, however, there are likely quite a few Super Bowl runs left in his career. And you have to imagine that's what Rodgers is more interested in anyway.
