NBA All-Star Game 2015: Latest Voting Results for Starters, Updated Predictions
The starting lineups for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game will likely be an interesting mix of established starters and some up-and-coming stars.
While the official list will not be released until Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. ET on TNT, the latest voting numbers should tell us a lot about who will represent each conference in the midseason showcase.
Stars like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant appear secure in their races regardless of early-season performance (sorry James Harden fans), while the younger generation of John Wall and Anthony Davis are likely going to earn a well-deserved first start in the All-Star Game.

Closest Races
Carmelo Anthony vs. Chris Bosh

While Carmelo Anthony ranks among the top scorers in the NBA with 23.9 points per game, he does play for the team with the worst record in the league. The New York Knicks have been simply awful this season, and it's hard to imagine anyone on their roster deserving to go to the All-Star Game.
That being said, it will certainly be awkward if Anthony doesn't make an appearance in the game after having his face turned into a subway car as a promotion:
On the other hand, Chris Bosh has stepped up his play this season while replacing LeBron James, taking on more of a leadership role and putting up numbers close to his Toronto Raptors days. ESPN Stats & Info notes his knack for bigger games:
The Miami Heat aren't great, but they are certainly better than the Knicks, and Bosh is playing at a higher level. While the vote will be close, this seems to be enough to put him over the top in the vote.
Predicted winner: Chris Bosh
Dwyane Wade vs. Kyle Lowry vs. Kyrie Irving

Without question, the most deserving player in this group is Kyle Lowry. Although he scores the fewest points of the trio, he has been a legitimate MVP candidate and averages 19.8 points, 7.6 assists and 4.9 rebounds on one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
His coach, Dwane Casey, said he is willing to fight someone if the point guard doesn't make the All-Star Game, via Josh Lewenberg of TSN:
Even Justin Bieber provided an endorsement, although you can take that as a good or bad thing:
The problem is that this is a fan vote, and Lowry simply hasn't established himself in the league to the level of Dwyane Wade or Kyrie Irving.
Wade has dealt with injury problems lately, but he is still considered one of the top shooting guards in the NBA in the eyes of coaches and fans. Even the Bieber fans might not be enough to catch Wade in the voting.
Predicted winner: Dwyane Wade
Marc Gasol vs. Tim Duncan vs. Kevin Durant

Giving Tim Duncan a spot in the All-Star Game seems to be as consistent as, well, Tim Duncan. The future Hall of Famer has 14 appearances in this showcase, and his continued success is as much of a reason as any to put him in there for No. 15.
However, Marc Gasol is simply better at this point in his career and is finally playing like a star for the Memphis Grizzlies.
The center is averaging a career high of 19.2 points per game to pair with his great defensive work and 8.3 rebounds per game. ESPN's Mike Wise puts him on the list of the top performers to start the season:
In a contest between Gasol and Duncan, the Grizzlies star should win easily.
Still, the wild card in this race is Kevin Durant. Although the superstar is off to a slow start and hasn't even played 20 games this year, he remains one of the most popular players in the NBA. In a popularity contest, the wing beats either of his competitors.
That being said, Gasol should have a big enough lead based on on-court ability to hold on for the win.
Predicted winner: Marc Gasol
| John Wall | G | Stephen Curry |
| Dwyane Wade | G | Kobe Bryant |
| LeBron James | F | Anthony Davis |
| Pau Gasol | F | Blake Griffin |
| Chris Bosh | F | Marc Gasol |
