Browner Leaves Ravens Game With Injured Knee
Saturday, Jan. 10
The New England Patriots' thrilling 35-31 win against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday in the divisional round did come at some cost. Cornerback Brandon Browner was injured during the game, though he doesn't seem concerned.
According to Doug Kyed of NESN.com, Browner left the game with a knee injury:
However, according to ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss after the game, Browner was in good spirits while walking out of the locker room:
ESPN's Lee Schechter had more:
"“I feel good,” Browner said at his locker after the game. “I [won’t miss any time]. Just being cautious.”
“I knew Logan Ryan would be a better fit than me being in there,” Browner said. “So we got ballers.
"
“Very proud [of the way Ryan stepped in]. That’s my little brother, you know.”
Even though he does have a habit of drawing penalty flags because of his aggressive play, Browner is an integral part of Bill Belichick's defense. He's an imposing presence in the secondary at 6'4" and finished tied for third on the team with six passes defended despite missing seven games in the regular season.
