Patrick Chung, Patriots Agree to New Contract: Latest Details and Reaction
Safety Patrick Chung's return to the New England Patriots this season has been a successful one, and he parlayed it into a new contract Friday.

Chung spent the first four years of his career with the Pats before making the jump to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013. Philly didn't represent greener pastures, though, as he was released after just one season.
The versatile safety caught on with the Patriots, though, and he has enjoyed one of his best campaigns as a pro. Chung started 15 games, accrued 85 total tackles and had one interception during the regular season.
Per ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss, Chung has proved to be a worthwhile gamble for the Pats after a subpar 2013 with the Eagles:
He will be a key defensive player for New England when it hosts the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Divisional Round this weekend, and he will continue to patrol the secondary for the foreseeable future.
There are just some players that thrive more under head coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots than they do anywhere else, and Chung appears to be a perfect example of that.
