Mark Reynolds to Cardinals: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, as Reynolds must first pass a physical, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com:

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The 31-year-old Reynolds is an eight-year MLB veteran who spent the 2014 season with the Milwaukee Brewers. Although he hit just .196 for the Brew Crew, he clubbed 22 home runs and drove in 45 runs in a modest 378 at-bats.
Reynolds has hit 20 or more homers in seven straight seasons, so he will provide the Cards with a true power threat.
With that said, ESPN.com's Dan Szymborski isn't convinced that Reynolds is a savvy signing for St. Louis:
Although it probably won't be a true platoon, Reynolds will likely be asked to spell left-handed-hitting first baseman Matt Adams at times against southpaw pitchers.
Aside from that, Reynolds will be a primary pinch hitter with the ability to go deep at any time.
Provided the contract isn't too outrageous, this is a signing that does seem to fill a couple of needs for the perennially contending Cardinals.
