Arizona Cardinals vs. St. Louis Rams: Live Score and Analysis for Arizona
Quarterback Drew Stanton left early in the third quarter with a right knee injury and did not return, but the Arizona Cardinals held on to beat the St. Louis Rams, 12-6.
This was a bloodbath in the trenches for both offenses. Not much was successful for either offense in the passing game, as Stanton, Ryan Lindley and Rams quarterback Shaun Hill all struggled getting the football to receivers to make plays.
The bright spot for the Cardinals (11-3) was once again the rushing attack. Last week, little-known running back Kerwynn Williams stole the show, but this week he had help from Stepfan Taylor. The two combined to carry 29 times for 136 yards (4.7 yards per carry); each broke off big gains up the middle on an atypically sieve-like St. Louis front seven.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Coordinator Todd Bowles made it difficult on Hill, but he also showed his defense could still shut down a running back. Upstart rookie Tre Mason carried 13 times for just 33 yards (2.5 YPC), marking the first time in his young career he averaged fewer than 3.3 yards per tote.
Arizona did its part by winning their game over the Rams. All that stands in the way of locking up a playoff berth this week is a potential tie between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. It was another hard-fought win, but a win nonetheless.
This team is getting its mojo back despite losing key players.
