Harvin Injures Wrist, Does Not Return
Sunday, Dec. 21
New York Jets wide receiver Percy Harvin is currently dealing with a wrist injury and his return is questionable.
Rich Cimini of ESPN New York had the details:
Harvin was later ruled out for the game with an additional rib injury, via the Jets.
When healthy, Harvin is one of the most exciting playmakers in the game. Whether it's in the running game, passing game or as a returner, he has the quickness and elusiveness to take the ball to the house on every touch.
Unfortunately, injuries have been a recurring theme throughout his career. He has played in a full 16 games just once in six seasons, he missed 22 games between 2012 and '13 and he already dealt with an ankle injury earlier this year.
The newest affliction will have little effect on the current season for the Jets, who are in the basement of AFC East. However, New York faces no cap penalty if it releases Harvin after the year, so it will be interesting to see how the team views the often-injured wideout in the long-term.
