Tom Moore of Calkins Media confirmed that Michael Carter-Williams is returning to the Sixers' lineup:

The 76ers' Director of Public Relations Michael Preston provided the news:
Carter-Williams, last year's Rookie of the Year winner, is undeniably talented. Offensively, he's a playmaker who can get to the hoop and distribute. Defensively, his length makes him an absolute nuisance in passing lanes. Built a bit in the Rajon Rondo mold, he's a triple-double threat every time he steps onto the court.
Injuries, however, have begun to play an ugly role early in his career. He missed 12 games his rookie year with various minor maladies, and he was out from May until mid-November after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Fortunately for the Sixers, if this injury proves to be serious, Tony Wroten has shown to be one of the better backups in the league. Wroten isn't exactly the model of efficiency, but he's explosive getting to the rim and has tremendous vision as a passer.
Still, Carter-Williams is at the center of Philly's current rebuilding process. Head coach Brett Brown and Co. will be hoping this doesn't become a recurring problem.
