Original Text

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins has reportedly suffered a thigh and knee injury. However, his status for the Thursday night matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals still hasn't been determined.

Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal shared the latest on Hawkins' injury:

More information was provided by Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com:

Hawkins, 28, has compiled 39 receptions this season for 504 yards and a touchdown. He has just one 100-yard game but has gone for over 80 yards in four contests this season in the absence of Josh Gordon, who was suspended for the first 10 games.

Stats NFL noted the impact the undersized receiver has had this year:

Returning to Cincinnati is a special game for Hawkins, who played the last three seasons with the Bengals. Hawkins spoke about playing his former team, per Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer:

If Hawkins is forced to miss any time, it will be up to other receivers like Miles Austin and Travis Benjamin to step up. Not having him on the field, it will also put more pressure on the running game to carry the load behind Ben Tate, Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell.

The Browns are currently 5-3 and third in the AFC North division behind the Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers. In need of a win to move up in the division, the team will need all players available to compete with Cincinnati on a short week.
