El Clasico 2014: Latest on Luis Suarez and Real Madrid vs. Barcelona Team News
Luis Suarez is finally eligible to play his first competitive match for Barcelona this Saturday when the leaders of La Liga head to the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid in the first Clasico of the season.
The Uruguayan's four-month ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup ended on Friday, and it now remains to be seen how big a part he will play against Madrid.
Suarez left Anfield for the Camp Nou over the summer for £65 million, and big things are expected of him—he bagged 31 league goals last season for Liverpool—and how he links up with Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Indeed, the Brazilian Neymar is excited at the prospect of finally playing with Suarez in a competitive match and believes Barca's new attacking trio can be extremely effective, per Rory Keane in the Daily Mail:
"Messi is the best in the world and Luis Suarez is a top player. I think we're going to do great things together for this club."
However, with Suarez having been out of competitive action for so long, it may be that boss Luis Enrique uses him from the bench. The manager confessed it is difficult to judge his fitness level ahead of the game, per NDTV Sports:
"It's difficult to evaluate if he (Suarez) is at 70, 80, 90 or 100 percent but what is sure is he feels much better in training. We see him training every day, he's a player like any other and what's clear is that he's not fat.
"
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague reports that no decision has yet been made on whether Suarez will start, but it is certainly a possibility:
Sergio Busquets looks set to be fit for this weekend's fixture in Madrid having recovered from a hip injury, but right-back Douglas is a major doubt for Saturday, per ESPN's Dermot Corrigan:
Both Neymar and Messi were substituted midway through the second half as Barca beat Ajax 3-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday and thus should be fresh for the match.
As far as Real Madrid are concerned, their star man Cristiano Ronaldo was taken off 15 minutes from time in Los Blancos' 3-0 away win against Liverpool in Europe.
However, Carlo Ancelotti's side played their game on Wednesday, giving them less time to recover, leading Ronaldo to query the time of kick-off for Saturday, again per Corrigan:
Gareth Bale is set to miss the match having also sat out the Liverpool encounter due to a thigh injury as confirmed by Ancelotti, per BBC Sport:
"We'll see how his recovery goes. But he isn't available for Saturday."
Sergio Ramos is set to play in El Clasico despite being out for the last two weeks with a calf injury while Ancelotti has also confirmed Pepe's fitness, via the club's official Twitter feed:
Whether Suarez is set to start at the Bernabeu, there will be no lack of talent taking to the pitch, with Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez all likely to be on show.
Real can hardly afford to lose and drop seven points behind their fierce rivals in La Liga, but Barca have yet to concede a goal this season in the Spanish top flight.
There is very little to choose between the two sides, and both come into the match in terrific form meaning a scintillating encounter is all but guaranteed.
