Premier League Week 9 Fixtures: EPL TV Schedule, Live Stream and Predictions
The 2014-15 Premier League season continues to support the belief that England's top tier is the most open among Europe's elite, with Week 9 promising yet more surprises.
After eight weeks of competition, West Ham and Southampton have shocked to take their places among the top four, while Tottenham and Everton sit in ninth and 13th respectively, having failed to perform as expected.
Following on from the 40-goal tally amassed on Matchday 8, hopes are high for this weekend's fixtures to provide a similar wealth in drama.

Key Week 9 Fixtures
West Ham vs. Manchester City

Sam Allardyce's career as West Ham boss is in the best shape it has ever been, and with the east Londoners currently in fourth, the club's ownership now look to be vindicated in having trusted in his managerial reign this long.
The Hammers can claim their most important points of the season so far when they host Manchester City in Saturday's early kick-off, potentially climbing to within a point of Manuel Pellegrini's men.

This campaign has seen several Upton Park staples improve to give Allardyce a boost, but the summer arrivals of Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia have assuredly been the most marked improvement.
Following a period of gloom in attack, West Ham have finally come upon a reliable pair of attackers all at once. Squawka illustrates just how essential the partnership has been in 2014-15:
City are on the ropes after relinquishing a 2-0 lead on Tuesday to eventually draw 2-2 against CSKA Moscow, putting their Champions League hopes in some shade of doubt.
In their last 10 games, the Citizens have kept just two clean sheets, while West Ham haven't failed to score in a game since the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on the opening day of the season.
Prediction: West Ham 2-2 Manchester City
Manchester United vs. Chelsea

Manchester United and Chelsea will inevitably court the largest share of attention this week, even if the Red Devils don't pose as significant a threat as they have in seasons gone by.
A 2-2 draw against West Brom on Monday evening was but the latest setback in Louis van Gaal's tenure as United chief, although that didn't blur his assessment of the performance, per the Premier League's official Twitter account:
Jose Mourinho's standards have grown slightly higher, to say the least. His league leaders have dropped just two points this season, which just so happened to come in their last trip to face Manchester's other giant.
A five-point lead at the table's summit puts Chelsea in a superb position heading to Old Trafford on Sunday. However, as Bleacher Report's Garry Hayes points out, the absences of Diego Costa and Loic Remy gives United a glimmer of hope:
Sitting in sixth and 10 points off Mourinho's men, Van Gaal will consider this a must-win. Although it's only October, a victory for the visiting outfit could rule United out of a realistic title shot just two months into the campaign.
Some will argue that fate has already befallen them, but a home win would reduce the gap to a more manageable seven points. With such a talented squad and a never-say-die attitude, United are as capable as any other of overturning the deficit.
Prediction: Manchester United 1-3 Chelsea
