Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle has the latest on Foster:
"Arian Foster (groin) returned to practice Wednesday and is day-to-day heading into Sunday’s matchup against Cincinnati at NRG Stadium.
Asked to elaborate about Foster’s status, coach Bill O’Brien didn’t budge.
Foster missed the Texans’ Week 11 road victory against Cleveland.
“Day-to-day,” O’Brien said. “I like it when all the guys are out there (practicing).”
If Foster returns Sunday, he’ll likely share carries with Alfred Blue. O’Brien again expressed confidence in the rookie back, saying Blue proved months ago he can run in the NFL.

Updates from Thursday, Nov. 6
Ganguli wrote, "Foster plans to play against the Cleveland Browns next Sunday, Nov. 16, after Houston's bye week."
Updates from Monday, Nov. 3
Ganguli passed along comments from O'Brien:
Marc Sessler of NFL.com shared a report from Ian Rapoport on Foster's chances of playing in Week 11 when the Texans return from the bye:
"NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that running back Arian Foster is unlikely to miss any time with the groin injury he suffered Sunday against the Eagles because of the team's extended break, per a source informed of his injury.
Rapoport was told that Foster -- the league's second-leading rusher -- bypassed additional medical testing and simply needs rest above anything else. The Texans don't play the Browns for another 13 days, which should help Foster get back on the field for a Houston squad angling to improve upon its 4-5 record.

Original Text
One of the few things capable of slowing down Arian Foster is an injury. Unfortunately for the Houston Texans, it's a problem that has become increasingly common for the 28-year-old running back.
Foster left his team's Week 9 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles with an undisclosed injury.
Around the NFL passed along the circumstances of the injury:
Foster later left for the locker room, via Tania Ganguli of ESPN:
Will Carroll of Bleacher Report weighed in on Foster's injury:
Following the game, head coach Bill O'Brien clarified the nature of Foster's injury, via Ganguli:
Foster missed eight games in 2013 after a back injury forced him to the injured reserve list. A hamstring injury earlier this season caused him to miss one game. But when healthy, Foster is dominant on the field. He tallied over 100 rushing yards in five of his first six games and has looked like the same player who racked up 2,220 yards from scrimmage in 2010.
Yahoo Sports' Brad Evans recently gushed over how Foster has looked:
O'Brien, via HoustonTexans.com, spoke about keeping Foster healthy:
"We’re very happy that for the most part he’s stayed healthy. We’ve done a good job I believe of trying to manage him knowing that he’s going to play a lot in these games. These games are very physical on him. He’s done a really good job to be where he’s at.
"
Foster, who has been so important to this Texans offense, now has a new injury to battle.
Rookie Alfred Blue has proved capable of handling more touches in Foster's absence so far. He will undoubtedly shoulder a major load if this injury proves to be serious. Jonathan Grimes should also see more snaps.
