Wall to See Specialist, Doesn't Need Surgery
Tuesday, May 19
Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post passed along the latest on Wall after the Wizards were eliminated at the hands of the Hawks:
"The all-star point guard said surgery isn’t necessary and he plans to see hand specialist Thomas Graham at the Cleveland Clinic sometime this week or next week.
“I’m still just doing a normal treatment routine I was doing, like I was playing,” Wall said. “Just consists of a lot of treatment and trying to keep the swelling down and letting the bone heal on its own.”
"
On May 7, Monumental Network revealed Wall "underwent multiple examinations that revealed five non-displaced fractures in his left wrist and hand."
Wall fell awkwardly on the wrist during the second quarter of Game 1 but managed to finish the contest.
Few guards in the league are as explosive and exciting as the Washington floor general, but durability concerns could prevent him from reaching his full potential. The 2013-14 season marked the first time in Wall's five-year career that he managed to complete an 82-game slate.
