10 Scorching MLB Takes 🌶️

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
1: Randy Marsh (13-6-1) Marsh has turned plenty of pitching match-ups that looked like sure-fire ‘unders’ into easy cashes for ‘over’ bettors this season. Most recently, New York’s Mike Pelfrey and Atlanta’s Jair Jurrjens played an ‘over’ game on Sunday Night Baseball with Marsh calling balls and strikes, but there have been some significantly better pitching combos where he made ‘over’ bettors winners. Pitchers like Carlos Zambrano, Cliff Lee, Rich Harden, Cole Hamels, Matt Garza, Roy Halladay, and CC Sabathia have all bitten the ‘over’ bug with Marsh behind the dish. Most recently, the ‘over’ has cashed in seven of his L/9 games.
2: Tim McClelland (13-6-2) After starting off the season on fire for ‘over’ bettors, McClelland has calmed down just a tad. He has gone 5-4-1 in his L/10 starts towards the ‘over’, which is still a respectable figure, but is nowhere near the 8-2-1 record he started the season with. Runs are crossing the plate at a ridiculous clip with McClelland leading the proceedings, as teams are combining to score an average of 12.0 runs per game.
3: Eric Cooper (13-7) If not for a pair of ‘under’ duels in his L/2 games, Cooper would be higher up on this list. Teams are combining to score 10.5 runs per game in Cooper’s 20 games called this season, but unlike Randy Marsh, a lot of these pitching match-ups screamed ‘over’. In his L/5 victories for ‘over’ bettors, household names such as Dustin Nippert, Luke French, Gio Gonzalez, and Charlie Morton have been on the bump.
4: Jerry Meals (12-7-1) Baseball betting fans who like offense haven’t gotten cheated of late with Meals behind the dish. In his L/9 starts, Meals has seen an average of 10.2 runs per game cross the plate, including a whopping 23 when Johnny Cueto and Cole Hamels slugged it out back on July 6th. Six of those nine outings went past the ‘total’, and most of the games didn’t come anywhere close to the number the oddsmakers posted.
5: Laz Diaz (11-7-1) A recent run of three straight ‘overs’ for Diaz came to a close this week when Brad Penny and Marc Rzepczynski combined to keep the Boston/Toronto game a run short of the number. Considering the fact that the average o/u in his L/11 outings has been a shade over eight runs per game, scores have been coming in awfully high under Diaz’s watch of late. In those 11 starts, the average final score reached 9.5 runs per game.
6: Bruce Dreckman (9-6-1) Dreckman has been a consistent money maker for ‘over’ bettors this season without really posting a huge run of consecutive ‘over’ games once this year. In his last game calling balls and strikes, LHP Mark Buehrle and RHP Scott Baker combined to start off a nightmare marathon game for ‘under’ bettors. Twenty runs crossed home plate that day, a mere dozen more than the number the oddsmakers posted.
