Twittter Reacts to Danny Welbeck, Alexis Sanchez's Performances vs. Galatasaray
After a poor start to their Champions League season, Arsenal came roaring back with an impressive 4-1 win over Galatasaray.
Leading the way in Wednesday's important matchup were Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, two new additions to the club this season who appear to be a big part of the future.
Alexis had a rough start to the match, getting abused physically with a few hard fouls. However, he was able to overcome those issues with a strong effort to tally both a goal and an assist in the match. The score came on a patient maneuver after receiving a ball from Mesut Ozil:

He also added an assist in the first half, finishing with a performance that earned a standing ovation when he came off at the hour mark, according to the club's Twitter account:
However, this day was all about Welbeck, who earned an impressive hat-trick against a good opponent when his team needed it. His first score came in the 22nd minute on the through pass from Alexis, but his second score might have been even more impressive in the 30th minute:

John Cross of the Daily Mirror was especially impressed:
Arsenal fan and television host Piers Morgan believed this filled a void the club has dealt with for some time:
Of course, the forward provided more than just scoring in this one. Squawka Football provided a statistical look at his performance in the first half:
He made good passes and had a strong work rate to help his side go up 3-0 at halftime.
Meanwhile, Ives Galarcep of Goal.com noted this was a big showing for Welbeck to prove doubters wrong:
The good news for Arsenal is the former Manchester United player was not finished. In the 52nd minute, he was able to chip the 'keeper to make the score 4-0 and give himself a hat-trick. ESPN FC was quick to chime in:
He also put himself in a rare category in club history, according to Fox Soccer:
Henry Winter of The Daily Telegraph pointed out that everyone was enjoying the effort from the young player:
Bleacher Report's James McNicholas likes what he saw in the 23-year-old player and believes this is the start of something big:
While he still needs to show that he can be a consistent contributor; the early returns are certainly as much as anyone could have hoped to see from the young player. In this match, he almost single-handedly gave Arsenal a necessary three points in UCL action after the squad dropped its opening match to Borussia Dortmund.
There were certainly question marks about Welbeck when he came over from Manchester United, but he seems to be doing a great job of filling his role for Arsenal. Arsene Wenger believed he was set for a big showing prior to the start of the match:
With Alexis and Ozil also playing well up front, the Gunners appear to have one of the top attacks in England. The team will certainly hope they can keep up this strong play as they look to challenge for trophies in the Premier League and beyond.
