San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals: Live Score and Analysis for Arizona
The Arizona Cardinals have won their first three games of the 2014 season, and in each of the three games they have been behind in the second half. To say this team knows how to finish is stating the obvious. The San Francisco 49ers had a 14-6 lead going into halftime and were shut out in the second half.
Coordinator Todd Bowles' defense allowed touchdown drives on San Francisco's first two possessions. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick carved up the defense early with his arm and his feet, but after two drives, it was all punts from then on.
Backup quarterback Drew Stanton completed 18 of 33 (54.5 percent) for 244 yards, two touchdowns—both to rookie receiver John Brown—and again no interceptions for a 98.5 passer rating. He had solid protection throughout and was not sacked once.
