WWE NXT Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from September 18
In the wake of an eventful Takeover II, NXT hit the WWE Network airwaves and wasted very little time giving fans an idea of what they can come to expect in the aftermath of the huge two-hour special.
Titus O'Neil, Hideo Itami and Baron Corbin all laid the groundwork for what should be successful runs in the developmental brand while Tyson Kidd once again pulled off a victory to remain entrenched in the NXT Championship picture and a perpetual thorn in Adrian Neville's side.
On the loser side of things, CJ Parker continued his rapid descent into irrelevance while Emma's considerable talents continued to be wasted as she played whipping girl for current NXT Women's champion, Charlotte.

Who should be celebrating following Thursday's show? Who cannot wait to put this week's broadcast in the rear-view mirror?
Take a look now, with this week's biggest winners and losers from NXT!
Winner: Titus O'Neil
The former Florida Gator has long been one of the more underutilized stars on WWE programming, so for him to arrive in NXT and be thrown directly into championship contention, working with some of the best and most talented wrestlers in the world, is most definitely a treat for fans of Titus O'Neil.
Thursday night, he shared the ring with four tremendously talented individuals and never once looked out of place. If anything, his sheer size and strength set him apart from guys like Neville, Kidd and Sami Zayn and introduced someone completely different to the top of the card.
O'Neil's run in NXT has the potential to be beneficial for both he and the brand itself.
For the first time in his career, O'Neil will have the opportunity to work a main event program. Not only that, but he also gets to do so while sharing the ring with some of the most talented performers in the sport. Neville, Zayn and Kidd are three guys who are so consistently great at this point that even a mediocre match from any one of the three is considered a major disappointment.
O'Neil can learn and continue to develop as he works with those men, while NXT has on their hands a talented big man who looks every bit the star Vince McMahon would like to feature atop his promotion. More importantly, someone with his size, strength and pure athleticism can go a long way in putting over the future stars of the industry.
Nothing but good will come of the new relationship.
Loser: CJ Parker
It seems as though every week one of the "loser" spots is devoted to CJ Parker, and it is not difficult to see why. The eco-friendly Parker has become nothing more than a punching bag for bigger, brighter stars, a glorified jobber who just happens to have a character and just happens to have tremendous heat with the audience.
His punishment at the hands of Baron Corbin was swift and definitive. Now, Parker will have to come to terms with the fact that his days as a meaningful character in NXT are, for all intents and purposes, over.
Winner: Hideo Itami
The Japanese sensation picked up a huge win over Justin Gabriel Thursday night and looked very impressive in doing so. While the outcome was never in doubt, there were questions regarding Itami's ability to adapt to the WWE style. While there is still work to be done, he looked far better than others in similar positions this early in their WWE stints.
His post-match beating at the hands of The Ascension is not necessarily a bad thing; it proves that creative has something in mind for Itami and that he will not be introduced to the audience with a series of repetitive and tiresome squash matches.
Whether the decision to pair Itami with Konnor and Viktor is the right one or not remains to be seen.
Loser: Emma
The bubbly Aussie was one of the brightest young stars on the entire roster coming out of NXT Arrival last February. She had developed into one of the better female workers on the roster and was super over with the fans in Full Sail University.
Unfortunately, she was saddled with comedic character Santino Marella upon her arrival to the main roster and has been largely irrelevant since.
Her loss Thursday night, in a meaningless match against Charlotte, is evidence of a young woman lost in the shuffle with no real opportunity to emerge.
While returning to NXT would undoubtedly be considered a step back at this point in her career with the Bella Twins, Paige and AJ Lee dominating headlines in WWE, and Charlotte preparing to move up to the main roster, there are far more opportunities for Emma to succeed at the top NXT and return to relevance.
Either way, the fact that she is in this position is an indictment on WWE Creative, who have let the talented young woman down tremendously over the last six months.
