LeSean McCoy, Darren Sproles' Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 2
The Philadelphia Eagles' high-octane offense got off to a slow start for the second time in as many games to start the 2014 NFL season on Monday night.
However, Eagles running backs LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles still managed to post exceptional numbers against the Indianapolis Colts. They shouldn't be viewed any differently than the dynamic playmakers they've come to be known as.
ESPN First Take wondered whether there was a better tandem of ball-carriers in the NFL after the Eagles' 30-27 comeback victory at Lucas Oil Stadium:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
McCoy had to be the top overall pick in many fantasy football drafts, while Sproles' receiving ability always makes him a formidable threat in PPR leagues especially.
Although Philly failed to score a touchdown in the opening half yet again on Monday in Lucas Oil Stadium, McCoy and Sproles had four receptions apiece for 23 and 76 yards, respectively. The majority of carries went to McCoy (20 attempts for 79 yards and a touchdown for the evening), and his effectiveness will keep him an elite RB option.
Meanwhile, Sproles was amazing in leading all players with seven receptions and 152 yards, to go with four carries for 26 yards.
If there are any notions that Sproles is declining, these anecdotes from ESPN Stats & Info should dismiss those thoughts:
ESPN announcer Jon Gruden alluded to a great play that prevented McCoy from a big play of his own in the first half:

It was only a matter of time before McCoy got going, with his second to none elusiveness in the open field. Eagles head coach Chip Kelly knows how to create mismatches with the best of the NFL's offensive minds, so McCoy and Sproles ought to continue producing.
McCoy and Sproles being so heavily involved in the passing game shows how Kelly likes to get the ball to his most electric players in space and let them create yards after the catch or contact.
The season is young, and there is no need to doubt McCoy as a No. 1 back moving forward. As for Sproles, he can be deployed with regularity in the flex spot, or even as a No. 2 running back against a more favorable matchup.
