Jackson, who was limping noticeably afterward, said he might be examined again Monday morning depending on how he feels.
"
Bleacher Report's injury expert Will Carroll breaks down what the injury means moving forward:
Jackson, 27, has been dealing with injuries off and on all season. He left Week 2's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to an AC joint sprain in his shoulder, but he was able to avoid missing any time. Jackson also dealt with an ankle injury that kept him off the field for a stretch during training camp.
The seventh-year receiver came into Sunday with 42 receptions for 858 yards and four touchdowns, averaging more than 20 yards per reception. He was able to withstand multiple changes at quarterback—from Robert Griffin III to Kirk Cousins to Colt McCoy, back to Griffin before McCoy's start this week—and still have a solid first season in Washington.
Because of Jackson's skill set, defenses have to account for him on every play, and his explosiveness gives Washington's offense a dynamic threat. The offense will have to hope his fibula contusion won't cause him to miss much time.
