WWE NXT Takeover II Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments
NXT delivered another phenomenal two-hour live show Thursday night that not only featured a Match of the Year candidate in the form of the Fatal 4-Way for the brand's heavyweight title, but it also put future stars such as Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, Bayley, Charlotte and tag team champions Sin Cara and Kalisto on display.
Several Superstars and Divas emerged from Takeover II with a tremendous amount of momentum behind them, poised to make a huge impact on both NXT and WWE in the wake of the event. They are the winners of the night.
For others, they failed to impress on the biggest stage they can compete on, and now there are very real questions about their ability to succeed at the next level.

Who are these winners and losers? Why are they classified as such?
Take a look for yourself.
Winners: Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady
Enzo and Big Cass' return to prominence in NXT was not easy. They surprisingly lost early in the tag team tournament to determine new No. 1 contenders, then found themselves involved in a rivalry with the bottom-of-the-barrel team of Sylvester Lefort and Marcus Louis. As the very best acts manage to do, however, they made the absolute best of the situation.
The team exploded through the curtain Thursday night and instantly had the fans hanging on their every word. Enzo and Big Cass were full of energy as they played to the audience, then did their part to ensure that the Hair vs. Hair match between the former and Lefort was, at the very least, entertaining.
The Jersey Shore duo is one of NXT's most popular acts and after Thursday night, it is easy to see why. When they finally wrap up the program with the Legionnaires, they should manage to find themselves in the mix for an NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity.
Losers: The Ascension
It was bad enough that Viktor and Konnor saw their nearly year-long NXT Tag Team Championship reign come to an end in the opening match of the evening at the hands of Kalisto and Sin Cara, but it was even worse that they tried, and failed, to make up for that loss by ruining Hideo Itami's debut.
They lost their titles and were punked out by one of the biggest international stars in the sport.
A bad night all around for The Ascension.
Winner: Bayley
There was a point when Bayley was the lovable loser of the NXT Divas division. She was immensely popular but was always fodder for the BFFs and never seemed to make any real progression up or down the card. That changed over the last month as the young woman strung together a series of impressive victories en route to earning a championship opportunity against women's titleholder Charlotte.
From the moment she entered the NXT Arena through the end of the contest, Bayley was treated as a star by the fans in attendance. Chants of "Bayley" and "Bayley's gonna hug you" rang out throughout the contest and really showed just how much of a connection she had managed to make with the crowd.
The raw emotion she showed during the NXT Takeover Aftermath post-show demonstrated just how much the sport means to her and really helped solidify that connection with fans. There will come a day when she finally does win the NXT Women's Championship and the NXT Universe will explode, and rightfully so.
Until then, watching the continued growth and maturity of the Bayley character should be immensely fun.
Loser: CJ Parker
Two months ago, Parker underwent a character change and emerged as an eco-friendly villain, a tree-hugging villain fans wanted to see silenced by their favorite Superstars. His feud with Xavier Woods did a great deal to showcase him in his new role and seemed to indicate that he could be prepared for bigger and better things.
Dropping a match to Baron Corbin at NXT Takeover II was not one of those bigger and better things.
Parker was demolished in short order by a Superstar whose raw potential makes him a candidate for a breakout star. Parker, at least according to management and the way they booked him Thursday night, does not have the same potential.
Winner: Tyson Kidd
Sure, he lost the NXT Championship Fatal 4-Way and was pinned by Adrian Neville, but Kidd turned in the best performance of his career Thursday night, holding the Match of the Year candidate together and carrying it on his back early on.
He was the centerpiece of the first 15 minutes of the bout and the heat magnet of the contest. He was the heel around whom the majority of the contest was booked, and he thrived in that role.
While some may have looked at a trip to NXT as a demotion of sorts, Kidd has embraced his role with the brand and is routinely delivering some of his finest work with the next generation of stars. Look for that to continue, though where he goes from here without falling out of favor is a bit of a mystery to be solved in the coming weeks.
Winner: Hideo Itami
WWE could not have done a better job of introducing a star to the audience than it did Thursday night with the debuting of Kenta.
A huge deal was made of his signing, a video package played up how great he was and then he walked through the curtain to a tremendous ovation from the NXT Universe. He rechristened himself "Hideo Itami" after one of his idols, then proceeded to demonstrate his toughness by clearing the ring of The Ascension and daring Konnor and Viktor to come back for more.
It was a perfect introduction for the competitor and one he can build on next week when he makes his in-ring debut on NXT.
