The National Baseball Hall Of Fame Needs Changes
The National Baseball Hall of Fame needs to make some changes. I believe a writer can vote for nine or ten players as the rules now stand. This should be changed; it kind of makes it a test with bell curve results.
By that I mean that they aren’t comparing apples to apples, they are comparing new bananas to new grapes, can I get a witness?
They are just comparing newcomers to some who have been shopworn for 10-15 years. It isn’t right! The players should be measured against some type of criteria, vis-à-vis, a set of standards by which to use as a benchmark.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
I realize it is an age-old protest, but will it ever change? Just because 75% of the BBWAA vote for a player, he is instantly transformed into “one of the best the game has ever known.” Give me Bullsh-t for $200 please Alex.
Let’s face it, if there are 12 deserving payers on the ballot, why should they not be able to get voted in? Why must they wait another year and see what happens? If five, ten, or 20, whatever the number may be, they should be able to be inducted.
It gets very old to hear the same old worn out statements. “Do you think Blyleven will make it this year?”; “Tommy John has more wins than most of the pitchers in the HOF,” “Hawk Dawson shouldn’t be voted in because of his OBP,” etc.
Many people are torn about Pete Rose. I’m not torn, I say re-instate him and vote him in humously (I guess that’s what it’s called when you are still alive).
We could fight for months about how Bill Mazeroski shouldn’t be in, and how Dwight Evans should. Or how Ray Schalk shouldn’t be in and how Ken Boyer should. You may feel free to change the above names at will, because no two tastes are alike.
Some say Maz was one of the best defensive second-baseman ever, I say he’s in because of the “big bang” theory of 1960.
Should we care who gets elected into the Hall of Fame or not? I mean, children are starving in Ethiopia even as I wrote this, the dollar is worth about 19 cents, and I am watching two wars very closely. The North Koreans are dying to nuke us, the Iranians hate us, and yet I complain about the Hall of Fame.
As Dolores Claiborne (Kathy Bates) said, “Sometime the only thing a woman has left is to be a bitch.” Well, in that same vein, sometimes the only thing you can do to keep any semblance of sanity, is to bitch about the Hall of Fame. God knows they need it.
