SummerSlam's final precursor comes in the form of the Aug. 15 edition of WWE SmackDown.
Roman Reigns, The Miz and Jack Swagger all look to sharpen their swords before their battles on the marquee pay-per-view. Friday's SmackDown marks one more chance for enemies to deliver ambushes, foes to sling threats and Superstars to earn warm-up wins.
The KeyArena in Seattle, Washington hosted all the action on Tuesday night. The people running their Twitter account posted some shots of fans set to see their favorite Superstars:

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
SmackDown won't air until Friday at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Syfy, but finding out what happened during the taping is as easy as entering "SmackDown results" into a search engine.
For those who prefer to wait to see everything unfold, the following is a spoiler-free preview of the matches lined up for the SummerSlam go-home show.
Cesaro vs. Dean Ambrose
Ambrose faces a tough challenge before finally getting his hands around Seth Rollins' throat at SummerSlam.
Cesaro's recent record has been dotted with losses, as he's fallen to Swagger and Dolph Ziggler. That lack of momentum will have him enter this bout as the underdog, but his power and mighty uppercut prevent him from simply being a pushover for Ambrose.
The two foes have produced some enticing work together in the past, including a No Disqualification match on July 25.
Ambrose needs a win this time around to maintain his hot streak heading into SummerSlam. He'll have to be wary of a possible attack from Rollins, though. After Ambrose popped out of a present to pounce on his former partner on Monday's Raw, Rollins will have payback on his mind.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Titus O'Neil
Ziggler failed to beat Heath Slater on Monday's Raw thanks to The Miz's presence, which made him lose his focus. Should that happen again on Friday's SmackDown, the other member of Slater Gator may get an upset of his own.
The powerhouse's best chance rests with The Miz's involvement.
Since breaking away from Darren Young, O'Neil hasn't had an impressive singles record. Through Aug. 4, per Darren Bongiovanni on PWInsider, he is just 8-33-1.
Ziggler will be prepping for his Intercontinental Championship bout against the star of The Marine 4: Moving Target. A dominant, quick win will hint that he'll have a good chance of taking home that title come Sunday.
O'Neil's lack of a SummerSlam matchup points to him being used as a warm-up here.
Mark Henry vs. Luke Harper
Unless WWE adds each of these wrestlers to the pay-per-view at the last minute, this is a clash with no SummerSlam implications.
After nearly snatching away the tag titles from The Usos at Battleground and Money in the Bank, Harper and The Wyatt Family have fallen out of the spotlight. The bruisers have been used in Bray Wyatt-led attacks on Chris Jericho but haven't been given many opportunities on their own.
Harper gets one here against The World's Strongest Man.
Shortly after returning to action last week, Henry piled up a win against Damien Sandow and a tag team victory against RybAxel.
What's most worth paying attention to is whether Henry will have Big Show in his corner this week as well, hinting at their continued alliance, or if the big man will be rolling solo. The former would be a wise move that would add depth to the tag division.
AJ Lee vs. Eva Marie
AJ can avenge her loss to Eva on Monday's Raw, righting the ship before SummerSlam.
The Total Divas star suffered a beatdown post-match, but Paige's distraction allowed Eva to score the surprise victory. Look for AJ to be especially focused and nasty heading into this one.
Fan Steve KISW shared a shot of Eva making her entrance:
She has been an attraction and a celebrity of sorts for WWE but occupies a low spot in the Divas division. Getting another win here will certainly change that.
Another slip-up against Eva will damage AJ's confidence heading into Sunday. Will Paige look to divert AJ's attention once again, or will we see champion and challenger get into a scuffle in Seattle?
Jack Swagger vs. Bo Dallas
Dallas seeks to start a new winning streak after R-Truth derailed him a few weeks ago. His opposition is going to make that feat a difficult one, though.
Swagger, taped ribs and all, forced Cesaro to tap out on Monday's Raw.
He'll be looking to acquire more momentum before facing Rusev in a Flag match at SummerSlam. Knowing Rusev's love of violence and distaste for rules, The Bulgarian Brute may not wait until that pay-per-view to lunge at Swagger.
Fans will be curious as to how much Swagger sells the injured ribs on Friday night. Should that play a big part in his battle with Dallas, one can count on it being a key part of the narrative involving Rusev.
The Miz vs. Roman Reigns
While Ziggler gets the struggling O'Neil as his SummerSlam lead-up, The Miz has a more daunting adversary ahead of him: He faces the red-hot Reigns.
Reigns spent his Monday night leaving both Curtis Axel and Ryback writhing on the mat.
After he emerged the winner in that battle and outlasted Kane in a Last Man Standing match, it's clear that WWE wants Reigns charging into his clash with Randy Orton on a roll. Does that continue against The Awesome One, or is there a shocker in store for us all?
Even if The Miz gets a win here, his "moneymaker" is in serious danger. For a man who is skittish about being hit in the face, a foe who wields a Superman punch is not an ideal opponent.
It will be intriguing to see how Reigns and The Miz work together and how much time WWE gives this. Reigns hasn't had a wealth of long matches, so this is a chance to see what he can do in one without all that much pressure.
Friday's SmackDown doesn't have any scheduled meetings between SummerSlam foes, instead offering a number of Superstars the chance to improve their records before that event. Who steamrolls their foes and who gets stung with upsets will be the biggest stories emerging from the KeyArena.
