Futbol Chronicles: Real Madrid Should Purchase David Villa at Any Cost
Florentino Perez knows he would be a smart man if his attention were to be focused on one forward who represents the best of Spain's hit-men: David Villa.
Villa, along with Fernando Torres, is one of the best Spanish forwards at the moment, and a possible bid for Villa's services would only enhance Perez's reputation in the club he hopes to lead back to European glory.
Villa can form an excellent partnership with Ruud Van Nisterooy, potentially creating a one-two punch in the forward line for Real, but Perez may possibly look at another forward in case he feels both Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Ruud van Nistelrooy don't match up well in attack.

He would certainly welcome a move to Madrid even though he recently pledged himself to Valencia, but the current financial meltdown at the Mestella has Los Che fans worried about a possible fire sale of talent.
Valencia reported this week to have debts totalling 450 million Euros, a staggering amount of course, but one that has alerted clubs from around Spain, Italy, and England who may inquire of the services of both David Villa and Diego Silva.
Silva can also be another possible signing for Madrid, one that Perez would be wise to consider as well.
Consider the fact that Spain have been the top ranked team in the world for well over a year now, and consider that Liverpool's financial troubles may also spell a fire sale of their talent as well.
Now, suppose Fernando Torres, David Villa, and Diego Silva met with each other while on international duty for Spain, and decided that joining Real Madrid would be good for the threesome.
Picture a starting line up that consists of Arjen Robben, Cristiano Ronaldo, KaKa, and Diego Silva at midfield, David Villa, Fernando Torres, and Ruud Van Nistelrooy on attack, and with Pepe, Sergio Ramos, and Salgado anchoring the defense.
Perez would then claim he has potentially created the greatest lineups out there in football today.
To discount the possibility of such a lineup is only moot now, since both Torres and Villa are both contracted with clubs who have put themselves in financial trouble, and Madrid completing the capture of Ronaldo and Kaka within a span of four days.
Florentino Perez has proved that he can more than live up to his famous promises: he is building the dream team that Madrid fans have craved for before he arrival.
Stay tuned...
