LeBron James Takes to Facebook to Vent About Being in the Spotlight

Dan FavaleJun 8, 2018

Even LeBron James has to vent sometimes.

Using his Facebook page as the platform, LeBron speaks of how difficult it (sometimes) is to go out in public when you're in the spotlight like he is:

"

Man it's hard to go out and have a good time these days! It's cool though, it's part of my life. Wouldn't change anything (just saying). Been in the spotlight since I was 15. Sometimes u just wanna STOP!! But I refuse cause I have a commitment to the youth to inspire them!! That will keep me pushing forward and focused alone.

Knicks Haven't Lost in a Month 🤷‍♂️

It's unclear what the Chosen One was specifically upset about or even making reference to. There is no mention of a public altercation, bad family outing or anything like that—only what we read in the post.

Still in the dark, it's not exactly difficult to understand how complicated going out may be for someone in his position.

While well compensated for his craft, there really are no days off for LeBron. Vacations can be taken, but there is no escaping his celebrity. He can remove himself from the basketball court or gym, but that won't change the fact his face can be easily recognized.

Wherever he goes, people are going to know who he is. That's not going to change. Blending in isn't really an option either, since he's so much bigger than the average citizen.

This all assumes LeBron is actually talking about the obstacles he faces when leaving home. Again, there is no specification from the King himself.

For all we know, these could just be random words of wisdom that have no relation to a particular set of activities.

No matter the motivation behind his post, LeBron's words shouldn't necessarily be mistaken as a pointed complaint.

Fame doesn't break for anyone, including himself—that's all he is saying.

He also closes out the message by acknowledging he will never stop, because he can't. There are obligations he needs to meet, people he wants to inspire.

That appears to be enough for him to continue pushing forward without any real days off.
