Why the Wyatt Family Creates Must-See Television
In recent weeks, the WWE Universe, along with WWE superstar Kane, has been told to follow the buzzards.
And if one follows those birds of prey, they are likely to be led directly to the mysterious and brutal trio known as the Wyatt Family.
The group, comprised of Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, and leader Bray Wyatt, first made their presence felt in late May, debuting in a series of vignettes each week.

Last week on Raw, they appeared in person, brutalizing Kane after his match with Christian.
On this week’s edition of Raw, they did the same to R-Truth.
Wyatt, equal parts of former WWE superstar Waylon Mercy and Cape Fear character Max Cady, portrays a smooth talking Southerner, who seems bent on saving everyone’s souls. But his brutal and calculating manner indicate that there is something more going on.
And that just might be what keeps fans intrigued. The promise of unpredictability is what makes every segment of WWE programming a potential must see event.
Week after week, the trio would be featured in a new vignette, with each one being stranger and more cryptic than the one before it.
The WWE Universe was led to think that for all of his words, Wyatt had a plan, and was going to put it into action soon.
After all, it's not everyday that you find a charismatic leader with two behemoths to do his bidding.
Rowan (6’8”) and Harper (6’5”) both possess superior size and strength with regards to the rest of the WWE roster. Their attacks, which seem wild or crazed, are orchestrated from a rocking chair by Wyatt, who looks on approvingly like a cult leader watching his followers do his bidding.
And for all of his calm words, and his calculating demeanor, let us not forget that Wyatt himself is a powerhouse, known for his explosive offense and incredible quickness which belie his size. In fact, when he was known as Husky Harris on NXT, announcers frequently called him an "Army Tank with a Ferrari engine."
Week in and week out, the trio has delivered chilling promos which leave viewers scratching their heads trying to decode the meaning of Wyatt's words. But despite the ambiguous speeches, in recent weeks, it seems as if the messages include calculated attacks and brutality.
One need only to ask Kane or R-Truth to testify to that fact.
On last week's episode of Raw, the WWE Universe waited impatiently for the promised debut of the group. As the night wore on, it seemed as if fans would need to wait a bit longer to see the Wyatt Family in action.
But following Kane's victory over Christian, they quickly made their presence felt, with Harper and Rowan simultaneously attacking the former three-time world champion while Wyatt looked on.
Their attack on R-Truth was similar, but Wyatt got in on the action at the end, putting Truth to the mat in a definitive way, before announcing that he was not the truth that they were seeking.
It is still unclear what exactly the trio intend to do, or who they intend to do it to. With Kane on the shelf, and R-Truth possibly joining him, each moment of WWE programming is electrified by the prospect of the Family making an appearance.
And while it is true that the company implements a similar idea with The Shield, coming in at random times and attacking unsuspecting superstars, at least fans know what the motive for their attacks are.
The Shield claim to stand for justice.
But what exactly does the Wyatt Family stand for?
It stands to reason that we will all be waiting impatiently to find out the answer to that question.
