The Spanish capital looks set to see movement from the top down during the transfer window, and, with Casemiro and Dani Carvajal already signed, more transfers look imminent.

There's a feel of anything goes around Los Blancos at the moment, so don't be surprised to see some potentially massive deals.

This slideshow will be constantly updated throughout the week with the most recent news, rumors and rubbish pushed to the first few slides.

With that in mind, make sure you're continuously heading back—you wouldn't want to miss anything.

Isco: Manchester City or Real Madrid?

1 of 10

Reports in the early hours of Saturday morning on Cadena Ser, via AS, are saying that Real Madrid have done more than steal a march on Manchester City in the race to sign Isco—they've agreed a deal.

The Spanish radio station reported that the move will be made official next week, and the 21-year-old will be presented with a five-year deal at the Bernabeu.

It comes hours after Goal.com had suggested Manchester City were emerging as front-runners in the battle.

Isco followed up his impressive season with Malaga by being one of the stand-out performers at the recent Under 21 European Championships in Israel this past month.

If it's true, and he is heading to the Spanish capital, he'll become the second member of that squad to join los Blancos—Dani Carvajal became the first before the tournament.

Gundogan on Real's Radar

2 of 10

The revival of 'Operation Gundogan' just got serious according to Madrid-based newspaper MARCA.

Real Madrid had supposedly secured the first option on the 22-year-old midfielder for next summer, as Borussia Dortmund didn't want to lose more than two of their squad—they anticipated the two being Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski.

But as the Lewandowski saga drags on, Florentino Perez has seen an opportunity to bring forward the deal for the German international to this window.

It would cost more to do the deal this year, although that's unlikely to deter los Blancos.

Higuain's Future Becoming a Saga

3 of 10

"I'm leaving, I need a change of scenery," said Gonzalo Higuain after Real Madrid's win against Osasuna (via MARCA)—that was over two weeks ago.

AS had reported that it was 70 percent likely that Higuain would be at Juventus next season, while The Daily Mail have insisted Arsenal remain in the running to sign the striker.

But while the Argentinian forward hoped to get his future sorted quickly, Real Madrid's lack of a manager has put the breaks on.

The Sun say that Arsenal and Juventus are locked in a battle for his signature, although no deal will be confirmed untill Jose Mourinho's successor is confirmed.

UPDATE: The Daily Mail say that Arsenal have stolen a march in the race to land Higuain. They're reporting the London club will pay £22 million, breaking their record transfer fee, as early as this week.

UPDATE: The Times ($), citing reports in Argentina, say that Gonzalo Higuain has already agreed a four-year deal to join Arsenal next season, while Sky Bet have shut the market on him moving to the Emirates.

Midfielder Paulinho Wanted by Ancelotti?

4 of 10

MARCA are reporting that Real Madrid are ready to battle it out with Inter Milan to secure the signing of "box-to-box" midfielder Paulinho.

The 24-year-old Brazilian, who has also drawn interest from Tottenham, via The Daily Mail, would cost the club around €20 million.

Ricardo Kaka could be used as part of the deal too, in a bid to sweeten up Corinthians, while MARCA say that Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the player:

"Ancelotti values Paulinho's hard work and sacrifice in the midfield, his great ability to move up and down the pitch, and his flexibility in all midfield positions."

Verratti and Vidal Still Featuring in Transfer Talk

5 of 10

If Carlo Ancelotti ever gets the go-ahead to take over at the Bernabeu, MARCA are reporting that he will have the final say over which midfielder joins the club.

Two of the candidates are Marco Verratti and Arturo Vidal.

Verratti, who has been with Italy at the Under 21 European Championships, was signed by Ancelotti for PSG last summer, but supposedly there will be an agreement with the French team that he will not make a move for any of their players when he leaves for Real Madrid.

The other option, Juventus' Vidal, could prove costly. MARCA suggest the midfielder could cost as much as €40 million.

Bale-Gate

6 of 10

Zinedine Zidane has urged Gareth Bale, via The Daily Mail, to tell Tottenham he wants to leave and put an end to what could become the summer's most drawn out transfer saga.

''If Gareth feels now is the time to move then he has to have a private discussion with his club and express that he wants to leave.''

The former World Cup winner isn't the only man with Real Madrid connections speaking out about the Welshman either.

Bale's former Tottenham colleague Luka Modric, via Goal.com, has also added his seal of approval to any potential deal:

"As Real Madrid is a team of stars, Bale would fit perfectly. He would give us a different dimension. He can shoot, has strength and speed and is the type of player who could help us take a step forward."

Meanwhile, MARCA say that the signing of Bale, which Madrid will pursue right up until the window closes, would possibly signal the end of Angel di Maria's spell with the club.

UPDATE: Andre Villas-Boas will reject the advances of PSG, if he is given a guarantee that Gareth Bale will remain at White Hart Lane next season, according to AS.

UPDATE: AS say that Gareth Bale will be unveiled, alongside Isco, as a Real Madrid player next month:

"

The operations to bring the two players to the Bernabeu are at an advanced stage and within the club, employees are on alert in the event that both players could be officially unveiled in July.

"

Meanwhile, via The Mirror, it has been reported that los Blancos have already reserved the No. 11 shirt, freed up by Ricardo Carvalho's departure, for the Welshman

Could Coentrao Leave This Summer?

7 of 10

Fabio Coentrao, via The Express, is the first Real Madrid player to be targeted by Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid paid  £25 million for the left-back, but would apparently be willing to let him leave for a fee of around  £17 million.

The report suggest Chelsea see the 25-year-old as the long-term heir to Ashley Cole, who only has a contract until the end of next season.

Spanish paper AS, via The Express, say a return to Benfica is more likely, although his wages may prove difficult to negotiate.

Where Does Ronaldo's Future Lie?

8 of 10

Since Cristiano Ronaldo tweeted last week that any the news about his renewal with Real Madrid was false, his future has again come under the spotlight.

The latest link is with Manchester United again. AS say the English champions are ready to pull out all the stops to sign him for 75 million euros—with Sir Alex Ferguson involved in the deal.

Ronaldo is thought to be unhappy that los Blancos have been continually linked with the likes of Neymar, Gareth Bale and Isco, but have put little thought into his new deal.

Monaco are also, via The Mirror, said to be ready to part with anywhere up to 100 million to land the Portuguese international.

UPDATE: The Independent in England are calling an exclusive on the news that Ronaldo has been advised to stay at Real Madrid this summer.

They say he's being urged to wait 18 months before making one more big move in his career, while Goal.com suggest Madrid are ready to offer him a new deal around €155 million over five years

Suarez Latest

9 of 10

Luis Suarez, who scored Uruguay's consolation goal against Spain on Sunday night, has insisted, via AS, that he has no offers from any clubs:

"No one has spoken with me or with LiverpoolThe press have spoken a lot about my future but there is nothing concrete, it's all just rumors."

Since he revealed, via The Guardian, in May that he was keen to leave Anfield, speculation has surrounded his future.

MARCA have made Real Madrid the front runners for his signature, but without a manager, the club seem to have little direction in the transfer market at the moment.

One Youngster to Leave, One to Stay?

10 of 10

Russian Denis Cheryshev, who has been capped by his country, looks set follow in the footsteps of Dani Carvajal by heading to the Bundesliga, should you believe MARCA.

The winger feels a move to Germany is best for his development, with Madrid likely to sell the 22-year-old with an option to sign him back at a later date.

Alvaro Morata, who has shone from the bench for Spain Under 21s this summer, will not follow him out the Bernabeu exit door though.

AS have reported some fairly emphatic comments from the club, amid speculation the young striker could be used as a makeweight in potential transfers this summer:

“We will not be selling Morata or loaning him out to another club.”
