WWE Superstar Zack Ryder: The Internet Champion Wants Another Shot at Success
Not long ago, WWE Superstar Zack Ryder was attacked and thrown into an ambulance on Monday Night Raw. One would think this a fine way to write someone off for "Future Endeavoring." However, it appears Ryder isn't going away quietly.
Recently, Long Island Iced-Z released a video on YouTube chronicling his rise and fall from the first episode of Z: True Long Island Story and his United States Championship victory over Dolph Ziggler at TLC, to his subsequent fall including his decimation at the hands of Kane, his heartbreaking WrestleMania Moment with Eve, to the present where he was destroyed by Ryback.
Still, it would appear you can't keep a good Broski down, as Ryder looks to once again get over. Of course, there are plenty of opinions on Ryder. Some people think he could be the face of the WWE given a shot, and others want to see him released as soon as possible.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
With all that being said, I think that it has to be mentioned that he does have what it takes to be a big name in the industry. Point me to another superstar who got over without any airtime and a camera.
For all the burying WWE does with him, it wasn't as if it was burying someone nobody cared about. It did it because people cared about Ryder, and I think people can again.
The comments on YouTube seem to be leaning toward the thought of a Zack Ryder heel turn. Looking at it, I don't think that's the case. It's not as if being a face was a bad thing for him. He was just never utilized to his fullest potential, and he was more comedic than some people want their successful superstars to be.
People want to talk about an underdog; you'd be looking at it every time you heard the phrase "Woo woo woo, you know it." I don't think Ryder will be turning heel, but I do think he will be making a tweak to his gimmick with this new show, should it become a reality.
Ryder looks to be in a transitional period as of late. Experimenting with his usually spiked hair, new ring gear and his most recent videos point to a man who's in a creative slump. (Though give him credit, as he seems to be working harder than WWE Creative for the most part.)
It would appear that with this recent video, he has found a clear direction for what he wants to make of his future, which means one of the harder steps is done.
If there's one thing even critics of Ryder can get behind, it's his drive to get himself out there and get over instead of waiting for an opportunity to be handed to him. Even if that does cause WWE to do everything in its power to bury him non-stop.
Looking back at his track record with Internet success, I'd say the opinion would likely be mixed to positive, so Ryder does have some momentum in this realm. From the first 50 episodes of Z: True Long Island Story to his single "Hoeski," he has found his niche, and going back to where it all began would likely be the key to his success.
The problem now would be how Ryder handles success. Should his show become as popular as his previous one, Ryder would be best served to really get after it with the people upstairs when it comes to his creation. If it were me, I'd sooner end it than sell my creation to WWE considering how that went last time.
If he can garner some guarantees and really play hardball with these fat cats, perhaps working out a limited deal if we're talking episodes, selling the WWE seasons of the show would be the route I would choose to go.
That said, we're not quite sure how well his show will do or how it will be produced, but I think as long as Ryder gets the creative freedom to work magic like the first 50 episodes of Z:TLIS, I think WWE would have a winner on its hand.
Overall, I'm optimistic for Ryder's chances at success with his new show. I'm a member of the Zack-Pack/Ryder Revolution, and there's no shame in that. I think a lot of people are fans of Ryder.
I remember not too long in a squash match with Antonio Cesaro, the crowd attempted a chant, rallying behind the Long Island native. Given some type of push, I can only imagine how loud that would become.
I remember at one point, the crowd was chanting for Ryder while The Rock was in the ring. The Rock, ladies and gentlemen. I think that says it all right there.
With that said, Ryder's success will rely partly on his mind for the business. If Ryder can keep his freedom and not sell his soul to the company again, we may be looking at a future household name.
