Big E Langston Needs a WWE Veteran to Feud with
To see how good Big E. Langston can be, to see if their newest powerhouse is more of a single note or a violent symphony, WWE needs to have him feud with a veteran soon.
As impressive as Ryback looked clobbering jobbers, it wasn't until his current feud with John Cena that fans got to see how engrossing of a beast he can be. A story with more depth, more airtime and being in striking range of a big star has helped Ryback tremendously.
With quick victories over the likes of Zack Ryder, Langston has looked like a hammer crushing nails. He now needs to be consistently pitted against someone who can better challenge him.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
See how he does in brighter spotlight, in longer matches, in clashes with someone capable of hurting him. Throw him in against a pack leader and his future will be far easier to protect.
Feuding with Chris Jericho has elevated Fandango's career, at least for now. On a smaller scale, tussling with William Regal did the same thing for Dean Ambrose in NXT. With as good as Langston looked in his recent matches with Alberto Del Rio, it's clearly time to find someone to launch him forward.
Having him look like an equal against an established WWE vet is not only an exploration of Langston's potential or a means in which to build toward the future, but it will be highly entertaining as well.
His explosiveness, his uncanny power and surprising sense of humor should make his first true feud an intriguing one.
Once he's done filling in for Dolph Ziggler against Del Rio, who does WWE have him face?
After a few run-ins with the recently dethroned United States champ, it looked like Langston and Kofi Kingston were headed toward a championship collision. Instead, Ambrose drove Kingston's head to the mat and beat him for the title at Extreme Rules.
Maybe Langston still goes after Kingston regardless of his lack of gold, but someone higher on the WWE hierarchy would be a better fit.
The right man has to be able to combat Langston's power with formidable power of his own. He has to have major titles on his resume to amplify the importance of the feud and be quick enough not to have their matches turn into displays of woodenness.
Sheamus is an excellent candidate for the position.
The Irishman's reputation for being a part of some of the company's most intense slugfests should have fans salivating at the thought of Langston vs. Sheamus. Sheamus' bouts with Big Show best show off what he can do with a large, powerful foe.
Picture Langston taking Big Show's place here.
Langston, of course, is not as immense as Big Show, but makes up for it with better mobility and quickness. Langston and Sheamus matches would be just as hard-hitting as those matches, but better paced.
As easy as it is to rely on stars who are previously established, WWE has to toy and experiment with its more unproven performers in order to fully understand what they offer. Is Langston just another forgettable powerhouse in the vein of a Mike Knox or does the company have the next great monster of a man on its roster?
Having him bang heads with Sheamus or another veteran will help answer that question.
