Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony 2012: Time, TV Coverage, Live Stream and Performers
Ryder Cup captains Davis Love III and José Maria Olazábal are set to highlight the 2012 opening ceremonies on Thursday night, each looking to get his group off to a good start with an inspired speech.
The ceremony, set to last from 5 to 7 p.m. ET, will feature both captains live from the 10th hole of the Medinah Country Club, as well as special guests for both sides, the announcement of the pairings for the weekend affair and more.
Coverage of the event will be in full effect, with several networks anticipated to host live shows, and analysis and debate for the pairings will be a hot topic of conversation, per usual with these kind of bragging rights on the line for both the United States and Europe.

The national anthem will also be a treat for fans, especially those who are fans of pop singer Jordin Sparks. The singer reminded her fans via Twitter that she will be singing to start things off on the right note.

In addition to deciding the pairings for the upcoming four ball and foursomes matchups to take place in the next two days, Love III is prepared to announce which format he will play first, per the rules for the home team's captain.
After the ceremony is over, stay tuned to the live stream or your television for the Bagpipes & Blues International Pep Rally, that will feature music from Chicago blended to help spread the cultural impact that playing in the Ryder Cup is supposed to foster for both the U.S. and Europe.
