49ers vs. Jets: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Spread Info, Radio, Game Time and More
The San Francisco 49ers (2-1) are travelling across the country to take on the New York Jets (2-1) in what should be an exciting matchup between two solid teams with a lot of pride.
While injuries and missing players are the key stories in this contest, there is still a football game to be played and it should be nothing short of excellent.
Defense will certainly take center stage and it should be a low-scoring, gritty affair.

Key Storyline
The Jets are going to be without Darrelle Revis, their shutdown corner and best player, not only for this contest but also for the remainder of the season.
They will need to figure out if they still have what it takes to shut down opposing offenses or if they are going to be a punching bag for wide receivers and quarterbacks to put up major stats against for the rest of the year.
It’ll certainly be a trial by fire against the Niners, who employ Randy Moss, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis, Ted Ginn and Mario Manningham in their passing attack, which is led by QB Alex Smith.
If the Jets starting CBs—Antonio Cromartie and Kyle Wilson—aren’t able to step up and contain these prolific receivers, the team is going to have to play from behind—something that this squad just isn’t built to do.
However, should they get some decent production from their two top corners, some help from the safety positions and perhaps even a decent pass rush, Gang Green could pull the upset.

49ers Player to Watch: Alex Smith
The San Fran signal-caller is going to have a lot more options on Sunday. Normally, Revis would take away a good portion of the field or effectively remove one receiver from the game.
Now that Cromartie and Wilson are the top two CBs, Smith will be able to target all of his receivers and likely find some success.
Expect the 49ers to test the Jets' banged-up secondary early and often, as this team has little to fear in terms of interceptions or incompletions compared to when Revis is on the field.
Jets Player to Watch: Antonio Cromartie
With Revis down, the spotlight is now on Cromartie to shine as the top cornerback in the Jets defense.
At 6’2”, 210 pounds, the seventh-year man out of Florida State certainly has the physical tools to play the position, but his decision-making often leaves something to be desired.
However, he was able to play some No. 1 corner during his time with the San Diego Chargers and the former first-round draft pick recorded 10 picks during the 2007 season.
If he could get his INT numbers back up to that level, the fans will have to rename Revis Island as Cromartie Island.
Prediction: Jets 21, 49ers 17
The Jets are going to rally and pull out a surprise win in front of their nervous home crowd.
While Revis may be one of the best defensive players in the game, he was still just one of 11 guys out on the field for the Gang Green defense.
If Mark Sanchez and the rest of the NYJ offense can put enough points on the board against a tough San Francisco defense, the Jets D will step up and make enough plays to emerge victorious.
