NBA Trade Rumors: Bulls Reportedly Won't Send Luol Deng to Warriors
The Chicago Bulls may have some interest in trading Luol Deng, but you can rule out any potential deal with the Golden State Warriors.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Bulls brass has informed the star swingman that there is “no chance” he will be traded to Golden State this offseason:
"The Bulls have privately assured Luol Deng that there's "no chance" of a deal sending him to the Warriors, league source tells Y!

Ian Whittell of ESPN Chicago caught up with Deng over the weekend and found that the 27-year-old British national would not be surprised if he were dealt this summer. When asked specifically about being packaged to the W’s for the No. 7 overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft, Deng had this to say:
"I believe there is always to some extent truth behind rumors. But as an athlete, if you get caught up in them, you are really wasting your time because it's not something you can control.
"
Deng had a surprisingly good attitude for a player who was possibly involved in talks to move from a contender to a rebuilding squad. From his comments, it's clear that he understands the nature of the business.
"As much as I want to stay on the team -- I love Chicago, I love the Bulls -- at the same time, I know the business part of it. Sooner or later, all the rumors are going to come up," he said.
While it’s likely that no deal will go down with Golden State, there is still a chance that Deng will no longer be with his current organization at the start of next season.
There were reports earlier in the offseason that Chicago was interested in moving up into the top five of the lottery in order to select Harrison Barnes of UNC or Bradley Beal of Florida. This would also give the Bulls cap room to sign a veteran point guard to start while Derrick Rose continues his rehab.
These are nothing more than rumors at this point, but where there is smoke, there is usually fire. Expect the Deng trade rumors to continue all summer long, especially in the days leading up to the draft.
